SPARTANS ARE geneticly enchanced. The elites had nothing to do with them, except when the UNSC had to create the Mark 5 armour in halo 2 to make the SPARTANS shields stonger than the elites'

The reason spartans are prefered is because the spartans are straigt forward soldiers. The Elites are complicated, they were deceived but they came through. This makes people feel angree subconconsciously (i think I butchered that word's spelling) becuase they haven't gotten through their deceptions. For example what life is about, what God really is, a popular one lately is the war in iraq moral, is my government lieing to my the bush i mean the prophet or truth. Keep thinking everyone.
and prefer to use Spartans, Elites are awesome and just the thought of the Arbiter makes my Spin chill because he defined Cool in all Elites before he came along they were just a bunch of brainless Alien invaders but now you understand where they come from and why, and if you think about it, its kind of sad how the Arbiter became who he is.
the reason is that in halo 1 everybody played as the chief and he destroyed a halo so everybody goes "holy crap he just pawned everybody cheif owns ect." and most of the public think elites suck cause cheif owned them when the elites are as tough as the cheif but the cheif without his armor is just like everybody else but the elites are born as strong as the cheif in his armor
Well, Alot of people think that Elites are better than Brutes, both character wise AND as a strong enemy, Personally, I preferred the Elites, and they were ALWAYS powerful, here's why:
1. Better armor that doesn't break once shields are down.
2. Swords pwn hammers, you can ride away from a hammer, try that with a lunge and get sent flying.
3. Better aim. Compare the aim of an Ultra Elite with a war chieftan.
it very rare that we find arbitar tributs which i think hes the koooooooooooooooooools eleit althoght the gold armor was better not that his armore isnt cool:)
At 2:50 I had to stop watching cuz it was Halo 3 footage and I didnt want to see any spoilers cuzx my friend has Halo 3 and I go to his house to play it but he got that...'RED RING OF DEATH' on his 360 as the crazy kids are calling it now. So I have to wait. And I dout well ever finish story mode cuz we spend all out time owning n00Bs on the muiltyplay. Awsome vid though.

5. Active camo without giving it away with a glow, the sword thing was bad in Halo: CE but it was probably a mistake since it was fixed in Halo 2.
6. They roll out of the way of nades, instead of diving like brutes, you know that people will just stick them while they're trying to get back up.
7. Better Drivers, the brutes suck, unless it's a chopper, they can't drive for shit, the elites constantly splatter with their ghosts.
8. Didn't beserk as easily.
