  • Silvio solves everything!

  • Amazing song for an amazing cause with absolutley amazing artist! Good job Steve van zandt!

But Can someone tell me if the guy at 4:19 is Bono from U2?

  • @rabb046 - yeah, got about four of those (inc Peter Garrett - without hair even then).

It'd be great to have a version with their names showing!

  • I'm waiting for them to do a song against Castro's apartheid in Cuba, but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen anytime soon.

  • Compilations with individual songs are alright (IE , Save Darfur, Warchild, Very Special Christmas), but this sort of thing is so much more powerful

  • Is that Missy Elliott at 1:15?

  • @keliata Missy Elliot is nowhere to be found in this video being that it was filmed and released in 1985.

  • @oldschoolbx1970 I must have mistaken another artist for her, but the other person certainly resembles her

  • @ReviewCam Don't worry about it. it's all good.

  • How about te Artists United Against.......OBAMA--ISLAM?? hhhmmm..........

  • @MsHoly777 Nice try.

    FAIL.

  • @MsHoly777:How about..Artist United Against The Tea Party?

  • Where are all these altruistic people now that South Africa is an AIDS ridden wasteland?

  • @bloodypussyfoad: AIDS is not as easy a problem to solve and get rid of as apartheid was, doofus.

  • @yamejanakaratoprak: There are artists who are doing that; Morrisey (ex-The Smiths) and another artist whoes name escapes me for the moment.

  • ...oh wow ...Where are they all now? ...actually who were most of them??

  • @Rolmarsden - Kool DJ Herc, Grandmaster Melle Mel, Ruben Blades, Bob Dylan, Herbie Hancock, Ringo Starr and his son Zak Starkey, Lou Reed, Run DMC, Peter Gabriel, David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Darlene Love, Bobby Womack, Afrika Bambaataa, Kurtis Blow, Jackson Browne and Darryl Hannah, Peter Wolf, U2, George Clinton, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Bonnie Raitt, Hall & Oates, Jimmy Cliff, Stiv Bators, Peter Garrett, Gil-Scott Heron, Nona Hendryx, Pat Benatar, and Joey Ramone. Ring any bells?

  • GREAT GREAT POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome. It's just as impressive now as when I first saw it when I was 12.

  • Sun City Resort is for white europeans

  • Apartheid as an official policy was introduced following the general election of 1948. New legislation classified inhabitants into racial groups and residential areas were segregated by means of forced removals. From 1958, Blacks were deprived of their citizenship. The government segregated education, medical care, and other public services, and provided black people with services inferior to those of whites. Please read a book Hermangu & TheEmptyEmpire...

  • Apartheid means sepertate development. Black people were given land to developed but it never developed so they got jealous of white people that developed their part of the land. So they wanted to end apartheid because they couldn't developed on their own.

  • zepmanX you stopid white fcuk! you missed out the end people harmonising at 6:55

  • Daryl Hall DID play at Sun City years earlier...after he was "lied to" by South African authorities who told him that Bophuthatswana was a sovereign nation within South Africa's borders like Lesotho is. That's one of the reasons he participated in this project.

  • Anne Murray, Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra played Sun City

  • ahhh .. 80's big Crunch beats

  • Love it!!!!!!!

  • Yeah! Rockers & Rappers are united strong. Cool!
