you lucky man, nice driving, but alltough you could be a little more aggressive on the acceleration,like on the corners you could be going faster around them & faster on the straights with more gear changing,this will give you a better time lap AND catch up on that STI for sure :)
The STi driver gave up. I would too after 8 minutes of not gaining. For drivers with less track time, it has to be a little easier to follow though. I, probably would have flew right off the track at some point. Nice vid.
This video was my first time driving Laguna, and I think my 6th or 7th track day. Best lap time of that day was a 1:51.84. I've improved much since then. I'm definitely not the fastest guy out there, nor do I claim to be. I'm just there to learn the track, and have fun. Best lap time to date is a 1:45.83. Still lotsa room for improvement.

I would have smoked that EVO in my stock 05 STi. I can beat that 1:53 lap time with the parking brake on. The only true comparison is same driver in both cars. Yesterday at a LS track day I passed lots of superior track cars. I even passed a new Lamborghini and I know my Subi is no match for a Lambo.

It seems like that WRX driver was more aggressive on the wider turns than you were, and really liked to gas it up early out of corners. really putting that boxer motor to work.
heh.. My best lap time of the day was a 1:51.7. I felt like my driving was pretty sloppy throught he corkscrew. This was my first time driving Laguna, so there's definitely much to be improved upon. I'll be back there in April. My goal is to get under 1:50! ;)

very good in driving even the Subaru's HP more than EVO but EVO still can catch up and cross over STI.
