1986 Williams Honda V-6 Turbo produced over 1000 horepower in quali trim. Awesome stuff back then. F1 has lost its balls with talks of going to 4 cylinder turbo's in 2013. Who knows what kind of power those will produce? 600-650? Weak.

Gordon Murray is stood on the right hand side - John Gentry is stood behind the rear wing with the clipboard.

John Gentry was new to Brabham after having joined from Renault in 1985, where he was Derek Warwicks Race Engineer.

It was an irony that he was reunited with Derek again when he was announced as Elio's replacement for the Canadian GP onwards.

This is awesome, thanks so much! The first GP I ever watched was Monaco 86, the race before this one. I still have it on tape and I'll put it up one day, once I've learned how the technology works!

It reminds me of how frustrating the coverage used to be though...so many missed overtaking moves!!
