I got to play this song with Keray Regan by the campfire. (The man who wrote it for Stompin Tom). He also wrote, My home by the Fraser. Stompins first two hits from what I hear. RIP Keray. My aunt was singing with "The sweethearts" in the early days with Keray, Bob and Lucille starr. Thanks for posting. R
i love Stompin Tom. I got to see him in concert at a festival in 2000. Travis Tritt and Lonestar played there too. I think I was the only one who went to see Stompin Tom.
Thanks for telling me about your posts. This is really special, Dad was born and raised on farm in Ont in 1921, worked there with horses and plough, and always kept his love of horses throughout his life. He spent many years in UK, but always talked with fondness of his childhood and youth on the farm. He would have loved this so much, as a huge Stompin Tom fan. Stompin Tom brought a little bit of home into his life in the UK.
this is a great song but do you have muckin slushers or red river jane nobody has them on here if you could put them on that would be great. thanks and merry christmas
This is special to me, my dad was born and raised on a farm in Ont in 1921. Grandad was a farmer all his life, lost an arm in farming machine and still farmed. Dad worked with horses and plough, and kept his love of heavy horses all his life. It was a hard, simple life and I am sure he loved his childhood to pieces.
HE'S APPEARING IN BELLVILLE ONT ON THE 28TH OF THIS MONTH . IM GOING

I lived in Kansas for a year and whenever I got homesick for Canada, or just wanted some good music I would play Stompin Tom.
