How would I go about gettin in touch with the man who builds these antennas

    Thanks

  • how much did the antenna cost??

  • @azmann30

$80 shipped. You have to go to radio shack and get a steel whip (102 inch) and use it for the antenna after you cut the bottom off of it

  • Any comparison to a standard 102" whip?

  • @slamdvw

well.. a 102" whip isn't a 1/4 wave antenna till you put another 6"s on it by using a spring. It cant be tuned without cutting off the static ball on the end and it hits everything when mounted on the top of your truck as I have this one mounted.

So basically when I went from the 102 to this antenna as I did, I was very pleased. Great ears and transmit.

  • i wonder how good that would work as a base antenna

  • @bm51879

Probably not good at all. It wasn't designed for that application

  • nice antenna. did ya get it tuned up. if so how good does it work.

    thinking bout this one myself

  • @hotrod197391

it tuned very nicely. It is very broad banded and will stay under 1.3:1 for over 200 channels. 1-40 and it barely moved the MFJ antenna analyzer at all.
