The persuaders in France has been a great success and French people adore Tony Curtis, but the serie in the USA has not been enough & the serie stop, malheureusement!
Great video! Let’s play a little game If you were able to have your own cult TV channel what 15 series would you select? Mine would be (in no particular order) The Avengers Star Trek (Kirk of course) The Prisoner The Invaders The Man from Uncle Space 1999 Randall & Hopkirk (original) The Saint Blakes 7 The Persuaders UFO (which deserves a remake with new effects please and more alien action) The Outer Limits Sapphire & Steel Red Dwarf And just to be silly – the A Team Yours ?
This interview would have to be the greatest wasted opportunity in television history. What were the producers thinking. These two legends had not met for 3 years & had a wealth of anecdotes for the fans. Shame on you BBC.

GREAT MOVIE CLIPZ SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS SIR ROGER I POSTED AS YOU HAD ASKED MY PLEASURE LOVE n' CHEERS!! ALLSTARZ ENTERTAINMENT&FILMWERKZ PRESIDENT GARY WARREN .
it was great seeing them both together again great characters who have great stories to tell of their careers and what can you say about Tony Curtis anyone who has a hair style named after him his forever the king of cool
one hell ov a good lookin bloke R.I.P mr curtis a sad loss.. titmarsh wasnt he a gardener on the bbc. whats he doing interviewing these two. is it a joke!!
Rest In Peace Tony Curtis, such a great actor. "The persuaders" known as "Amicalement vôtre" in France was just an awesome TV serie which will stay engraved on my memory. That takes me back to unforgettable moments !
Age is such an awful taxmaster, it takes no prisoners. I look at pictures of myself at 20 and think; "man, i was good looking." But, at the time, did not think so. If we could only appreciate how fleeting and uncompromising time is, we might appreciate life more. I'm sure Tony had a great life, but to see him like this, listen to the patronising questions and hear the audiences polite laughter, is excruciating.
Two absolute legends of cinema and television reunited and what does the BBC do? Give them less than 10 minutes, and have them interviewed by Alan Titchmarsh, the most uncharismatic man on earth.
dont be glad anyone is dying JuanMacgready .. tony stood the test of time he is why films are films ... just dont be cruel ..sexiest man on earth now he old you like a vulture.
I would love to see these guys together again. I do realize, however, that they have their own lives to live and they can't indulge the whims of their fans all the time. Nevertheless it would be nice for us 40 somethings to fantasize about another Persuaders episode with these guys in it, maybe a movie??
Oh, definately, I think there should be a picture of these two in the dictionary under the word 'Chemistry', because they certainly had it between them, this made my Sunday afternoons back in the 70's and I bought the full DVD collection a few years ago, this series paved the way for many other unlikely team ups later, it was a real ground breaker.
Great clip, and a nice interviewing technique from Alan Titchmarsh that truly got the best out of his illustrious guests. I loved seeing Tony Curtis' face when he realised Sir Roger was going to come on the show. I agree that ten minutes is nowhere near long enough but it was actually shown on ITV and not the Beeb!
I watched the Persuaders in the early 70's when it was on TV. I had heard that both Moore and Curtis didn't really like each other at the time. Odd though, when you think of it, Curtis's career was on the downside, while Moore career was moving up.
Isn't it awful to see Tony like this. I know he's old but I was a big fan of The Persuaders and it's unbelievable to see this iconic man like this. Mind you he's had some good moments.. Great upload.
I absolutely agree! Moore and Curtis are probably two of the greatest fiml stars around and to have them interviewed for only 10 mins was an insult to them and a real disappointment for the rest of us! They should have been given the whole show for themselves. Typical of the BBC's way of thinking!
The only thing tony ever gets asked about is Marylin Monroe and that bloody Some Hot Like Hot, forget about all his other 100 movies or so. Some Like It Hot isn't even that great, it's crap.

Great interview but too damn short. This merits an hour show, not just 10 minutes. Good to see Curtis and Moore back together again and they seem to have had a blast with their show.
Excellent !!!! both are living legends ! I love them ! thank you very much for this video ! I met Tony when he came in Paris in last April... he was very kind and was happy to talk, take photo with fans like me... a simple man but a great star. thanks again

Yeah, that's why it was getting re-runs in the 80's and 90's all over the world. Maybe not the USA, but who cares?
Although it may appear dated today it really represented the time.
It still has a loyal following so believe what you want. There's tons of more pretentious pseudo-scientific nonsense being released today.
