Although there is sincere encouragement in your comments, your overall view is unfortunate! Why, I'll explain.
Firstly your expectations are very wrong! Neither Uprise or any of these MCs promised to offer you in one cypher all of your checklist points for what you call the real gospel message.
The Gospel (Euaggelion- Grk) is the Good News of Salvation through Christ and profession of Gods grace through Christ. Your quoting Romans 1:16, out of context is very unfortunate as the last thing these guys are is ashamed of the gospel message and the proclamation of Jesus Christ.
As a person with a passion to see the church present the Gospel and the Revolution (Change) it can bring to society, i am very concerned when i see what i think is one of the worst oppositions to the message of Christ Uprising. What is that? I call it The Crab in a Bucket Christianity.
Study what happens when two or more crabs are placed in a bucket and one tries to rise up out of it. For some unknown reason the other one will always pull the one thats climbing up right back down.
Its a very uncomfortable phenomena. Reading your responses so far has brought that feeling to me. I find it to be a shame that before this Uprise has even got off the ground its being shot down, for not containing all the full expressions of what you say is the gospel.
When you consider where these guys are coming from, and who their speaking to (gunslingers and drug dealers) lets give them a boost and encourage them in love rather than downplay their efforts and passion.
