  • They really should bring back the "Cabaret characters;" the whole theater experience is what MADE CEC...

  • PAPERBACK WRITER

  • This is how I got into the Beatles. I would put all my tokens into these damn dogs. Eventually my mom said she would buy me the albums so I didn't waste my tokens. She got me the red and blue greatest hits. I was skeptical at first because there were people on the cover and not dogs. But the songs were the same so it worked out. Still love the Beatles to this day.

  • Awesome! Still wish our store would've had the King, though!

  • They had these same puppets at the Chuck E Cheese in Garden Grove, CA off of Valley View and Chapman. Man I miss that.

  • smart beagle?

  • I remembr these guys, most places got rid of tem in the late 80s but one near me in the mid 90s still had them (though they only used them once or twice a day cause they broke too easily) I always liked the Rock-A-Fire Explosion from Showbiz Pizza Place a tad better, but I loved the old Chuck-E Cheese stuff. Now all you get when you go there is sick or in a brawl...

  • OMH they are too cute!

  • CEC is in no way like it was in the 80's :(

  • Thank you so much for uploading this! I have not seen these guys since the early '80s.

I used to go to the CEC in Lake Forest, CA all the time as a kid. A few years later, they replaced The Beagles with The Beach Bowsers, which was just not the same.

  • @SirHatchporch Wasn't Lake Forest the store that kept it's original "Balcony Stage" until it's closing in 2001?

  • @chuckecheeseshows I'm not sure. I lived in nearby Mission Viejo at the time but moved in December of 1986. So I hadn't been there in years.

  • @SirHatchporch Yeah, Lake Forest was the ONLY store in the world to still have the old Balcony Stage from the 80's. When Chuck E Cheese's Corporate office realized they were 20 years behind in remodels, instead of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to remodel, they closed the store, and opened a new one in Laguna Hills in 2002.

  • I wasn't even born when this happened, but I'll give Chuck E. Cheese's props for this Beatles spoof, and yes...I LOVE THE BEATLES.

  • Amazing!

Just found a picture of myself on my 5th birthday watching The Beagles. Remember using a lot of tokens in that room to keep them from stopping.

    Thanks for posting!

  • @TeamDZ Thats right these were COIN-OP! Is there anyother places in the world with coin-op animatronics?

  • @phgp27 Wall-Drug...

  • This is AWESOME!!! I used to go to Chuck E. Cheese regularly just to see The Beagles. This sure brings back memories. Chuck E. Cheese just isn't what it used to be. Bring Back The Early '80s!!!

  • Thanks for the memory. I vividly recall watching The Beagles at Chuck E Cheeses in Fairfax, VA in the early 80's. Nothing was more exciting than a birthday invitation to a birthday party at Chuck e Cheese's. When I cleaned out my room after college I found an old bag full of tokens I had saved for a big blow-out there one day. Oh well.

  • That's funny!

  • The Beatles' Paperback Writer was later covered in a CEC show as "Paper or Plastic".

  • this is awasome I'm a huge beatles fan and i wish they had this up here in IL

  • I hear yea Hazzardwolf. It's not like it used to be. My sister and brother in law got to see what it used to be back in the day. Now it just Chuck E.Cheese. I've alwayed love animatronics.

  • HOLY SHIT!!! I REMEMBER THIS FROM WHEN I WAS A KID! yay! memories.

  • Beautiful! Why couldn't I have been around when Chuck E Cheese's didn't suck?

  • Now THAT'S a show! I hate what's CEC has today...This is awesome !
