kool i just got a 1999 kx 80 and i use 40:1 it goes good and it smokes alright. i use Valvoline racing oil.

Agreed. Its very unlikely that they will blow under a load (in gear) and even in neutral it takes alot. These KX engines are built extremly well and can take alot of abuse.
