People have come to offer congratulations, / But I see that it is truly suffering! Everyone thought it was a happy occasion, but the Venerable Zhi only sighed and said, "This is really suffering!" People take suffering to be joy!the horror of killing and eating meat. Let us look at the Chinese character for meat (肉 ) If you really think about it, it is people eating people.
Thus it is best to be vegetarian.

are you kidding? I cant spend more than 2-3 days without meat. i love meat. How could you not. The djungle rule apply, eat or be eaten and i'd much rather eat an animal than being eaten by it.
Vegetarians are stupid fuckers: But hey, thats my opinion not the majority of all inhabitants on the planet earth...
Matter of fact i do study mandarin (chinese) and it really does not matter that the character for meat is two people eating each other because that was a looong time ago. I live now. :)
