  • 125 Sears stores are closing down.

  • Who funded Zeitgeist addendum. Look it up yourself, do some bloody research. Try The Money Masters and The creature from Jeckyll Island instead. Thanks for your attention.

  • You do know that this is foundation funded by George Soros, Paul Erlich and other anti human trolls. People fall for the simple interface and the lies between the truths. Very dangerous to listen to this and upcoming videos at face value. Conmen gain your trust before they screw you.

  • Progressivism / Liberalism / Statism advocates changes or reform through GOV'T action.

Give ANY politician or bureaucrat the power to "redistribute & regulate" OTHER people’s money & choices and they will ALWAYS pass laws to benefit THEIR “special interest” campaign backers; Banks, Wall Street, Military-Industrial Complex, Marxist Unions, Giant "Green" Corps, Big Oil, Pharma, Insurance etc.

    Statism = Political Cronyism.

The Fed’s FIAT (counterfeit) debt-currency FUELS THE FIRE!

  • And Lee Doren destroys her garbage once again

  • 55 bankers don't like this video.

  • FUX NEWS fux with ur hed!

  • LMAO the Koch-heads really set the astroturfers free to attack this within just a few hours. I'm glad people like Annie still have the power to annoy the people who aim to profit from the destruction of this country.

  • @IOIOIOIOIOIOIOIOIOIO You realize of course that the Kochs employ about 50,000 Americans and another 20,000 foreigners and have donated hundreds of millions of charity including cancer research. If that is "destroying America" then I would like to know what your idea is of helping it.

  • @kev3d Obvious astroturfer is obvious

  • @IOIOIOIOIOIOIOIOIOIO Are you going to present actual arguments or continue to use baseless insults and meaningless tautologies?

  • @kev3d Moar tautologies. Hey, did you hear anarchy is incredibly cheap for the tax-payer?

  • Let me summarize Annies argument: The government is a big bloated easily corruptible machine, so lets grow it even larger, and hope for the best.

  • Looking at some comments makes me understand how powerful Fox News is in brainwashing American's brains! :(

  • As usual, Annie Leonard just looks at the costs and not the benefits.....when the petroleum industry, petrochemical industry, etc, are replaced by whatever Annie thinks is best, how many jobs will be lost for the ones gained?

    This mindset is destroying America.

"The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.".--CS Lewis

  • the excuse that the wealthy control government is silly. voters ultimately decide the fates of politicians. lazy people make the excuse that wealthy people control government so they can avoid blaming themselves for their lack of civic participation.

  • @chrispollock The game is rigged, weather you vote one or the other they are both equally corrupt, surly you understand that.

  • @tonipuente1 you can vote for whoever you want. so the game is not rigged. the only thing that seems to be certain is the laziness and lack of spine amongst the voting population to acctually get together and vote on who they want instead of being party drones.

  • @chrispollock Brother did you not hear what I said, who ever you vote is in on it, I imagine it is a requirement to be able to become part of the game, who can you vote for that is not corrupt, apart from Dr.Ron Paul there is no one else, and he will not win because of the media, and if he did, he will last like two minutes before they kill him. The game is rigged.

  • @tonipuente1 did you hear what i said? a vote is a vote is a vote. rich or poor, the group with the most votes can steer the election. just like in the free market, if people demand certain types of politicians, those politicians will emerge. but people are lazy and want to engage in two party politics. they lack spine, they lack a desire to organize voting drives for third parties. you cannot decide elections with money, you can only run ads and bribe politicians. but votes are what count.

  • I switch off when you say America is still the richest nation in the world (it's in debt 14 trillion to china and it's people are being sold out to slavery no?). And voting them out? Hmm, how can you have faith in politics?

  • Countless billions available to promote wars in oil producing states, Libya / Iraq and to support failed bankers bonus payments but in very short supply for social or environmental projects. Keep it up Annie!!!

  • yei!!! I can´t wait to see it :D

  • If we dont change the way things are now, we could be in for a terrible 21st century.

  • I cant wait!

  • I thought I unsubbed you with your endless teasers. No content, no viewership. Bye.

  • I think I love this woman, she actually has common sense.

  • looks good - i trade for comfort

  • 49 hedge fund managers don't like this video

  • We live in a put up or shut up existence, we need to live for an all for one existence. And we need to look into technology and opening patents that have long been locked away.and take the world in a new direction.global economy in the correct manner would allow all to have necessities coverage and luxuries being in effect what pays for better than standard. Everything available at a human value worth, and call that social economic credits and all are equal. Not teaching different is good/bad.

  • damn ive got an exam on nov 9th and this would come in handy haha

  • this is sutch propoganda!

  • @juteboxs not really, but if it is then it's the good kind

  • @juteboxs Way to go! Two misspelled words in a 4-word sentence, amazing!

  • 47 lobbyist disliked the video

  • i cant wait.

  • Don't be concerned about dislikes...youtube is owned by News Corp. You know, the animals who brought you Fox "news".

  • @roguescr1be youtube is owned by google, actually

  • @my8Statements how you back up that statement? just wondering.

  • When the people lead, the leaders will follow..........But not one second before that.

  • 45 people are wallstreet traders.

  • The 43 dislikes represent the 1%

  • I want a piece of land to build my house (close to the city)......I will pay nobody for it.

  • Oh joy. More ideologically-slanted "facts" and non sequiturs ... can't wait ... for the critiques that is ;-)

  • I can't wait

  • 41 wall street brokers passed by

  • Oh Annie! Please don't tease me like this. I want to see the entire video as soon as possible!!!

  • I wish people would stop saying this whole "we can just vote them out" thing. Yeah, but then someone has to take their place. And there's no reason to think this new person would act any differently. Voting is useless when the system itself is the problem.

  • VERY excited for this to come out! I love this project and totally support!~

  • Cool. Remember remember, the... 8th! of November :P

  • MAKE LOBBYING ILLEGAL !!!

    Make democracy equitable.

  • Why so many dislikes? thats funny

  • @Svartdoden the dislikes are from trolls.. or corporations.

  • @Svartdoden That's the 1%

  • @Svartdoden PROBABLY BECAUSE THIS was only 45 sec when we were ready to start building a better future right now!

  • A Resource Based Global Economy!!!!

  • Economists, you have a really funny way of thinking: "economics can only be fixed with... economics". A guy called Einstein (ahhh don't let him bother your bad designed economic system propaganda...) said: "You cannot solve a problem from the same consiousness that created it"! But you say: "Only capitalist economy can save the world! Look! It is written all over the capitalist literature...!". You sound like some re(dicu)ligion fananatics: "God exist because the bible says so...!".

  • Can someone explain why is it wrong for someone to wonder "why the hell governments can support banks but cannot invest on renewable energy?". Can someone explain why answers like "because economists say so!!!" shall be taken seriously into account.

  • Soooo, after 3 years of supporting The Story Off, including some donations, i cannot believe how shallow this particular topic is being addressed. Sorry - my POPULIST spidey senses just made me unsubscribe from your newsletters, which is a shame :(

  • @BFG33 Expand your thoughts, I'm curious. How so?

  • @BFG33 What exactly don't you like about this video? I don't get it.

  • Have watched while over the last 30 years more and more jobs have been passed overseas to developing countries in the poorest paid worker scam that poses as "free and fair trade". Those cheap asian products were great - at first - but now they've seriously compromised the west's ability to pay for them, becacsue we sold the jobs that went with the low prices. If we want to fix the system, we may have to accept higher prices for locally made consumer goods, and an end to "free trade" too.

  • The deeper problem is that there is no one to vote for any longer who isn't already corporate sponsored and owned. I'd love to vote in a whole new congress and house, but the options are all the same.

  • Annie is wonderful :)

See also ZEITGEIST MOVING FORWARD here on youtube

  • Wow ... even as an unlisted video the tea baggers were drawn to this like flies to shite. Hello tea baggers! Ya know, most of you are the 99% too. But I guess you all like working for substandard wages that have stagnated for 30 years while the top income earners get massive raises every year.

  • @nrf91 You're right that most tea partyers are part of the 99%, but that doesn't help your case. They hold their views even though it may be against their personal interests at the moment. Bertram Russell said that it takes something very powerful for people to work against their interest, something like principles.

  • If i vote someone out, i am effectively voting someone in, right? How come is that better?

  • We can start building a better future right now, starting with critiquing this video.

  • GURL WE IS BROKE

    WE IS SO BROKE

  • I'm wondering what her definition of "our" is.

  • Annie, do you even own a basic economics book?!?!?

  • Madam, you can't simply choose what to invest in, and then say it's the inevitable solution for growth. We have market statistics and reports for a reason; follow the price system if you want to truly manage limited resources and bring growth/prosperity to your fellow Americans. I am optimistic about my fellow people; I resect you all, but please, read up on some economics before forming a plan on the basis of sentiments.

  • The same fallacy as always. Everyone always says "Under MY government there would be no corporatism", but it doesn't work like that. Government is a marketplace of competing bidders which no one person has absolute control over. While there is government there will always be special interests.

It's just naive to complain about lobbyists while also advocating the expanse of government power, as so many on the left do.

  • @ScientificScience we don't need government...we need technical solutions for our daily problems...we need abundance...and people who can think...check out ZEITGEIST MOVING FORWARD on youtube

  • @eatsimplefood I've already watched it, and I'm sorry to say that the system suffers from a number of serious flaws - most importantly the Economic Calculation Problem.

  • @ScientificScience there is no money to calculate with in a resource based economy...or have I misunderstood you?

  • @eatsimplefood Exactly, that's the problem. An economy can't work without money or markets because money and markets allow for price signals that coordinate productive efforts in relation to the demands of consumers.

Producers can't calculate what to produce without the detailed knowledge of consumer wants that is allowed by prices - a product of markets and money. Put simply, how does the supercomputer know what to produce? What signals to the supercomputer when consumers want something?

  • @ScientificScience where is the Problem? when there is a need we can always produce things...as transportation/delivery systems will be much more effective then now, you don't need to wait longer as for a thing you ordered online. Fact is that nowadays we produce food for 12 Billion people...and still 1 Billion suffer because they don't have the money to buy it. We produce a lot of things today that go bad on stock or are never sold and which are simply destroyed but not given away for free.

  • @eatsimplefood The economic calculation problem can be difficult to explain in under 500 characters. There's an essay by FA Hayek called "The Use of Knowledge in Society" which puts it most eloquently and which I could not recommend highly enough. See: econlib[.]org/library/Essays/hykKnw1[.]html
