The media doesn't label socialism or communism evil, at least not in this day and age, and it hasn't for many years in this country. Ronald Reagan declared communism evil decades ago and was maligned endlessly by the press for it. Hollywood embraced socialism/communism ages ago, even going so far as to turn the name (or a variation of it) of a notorious anti-communist named Joe McCarthy into a synonym for oppression and intolerance... even though McCarthy was later proven to be right!
