  • this was a well designed course, all the riders rode it really slowly which made their horses not have enough energy to make it through the combination, the course was basically saying "you dont have to slow ur horse down at verticals" and thats why everyone fell because they did slow down

  • that looked like such a fun course!!!

  • yeah that was a tough, demanding course, but if SO MANY riders crashed THAT badly, obviously the course designer is partly to blame. Those riders were not beginners or riding badly, yes they made mistakes, but people make mistakes on Grand Prix courses all the time and they don't result in dozens of bad crashes. Shame on the course designer.

  • @Revelation7912 nah the course was fine, It just required the riders to actually ride and not be passengers, the girl who won actually rode and didnt interfere with her horse... this course would be better suited to eventers though just because of its technicalities...

  • go allison!!

  • WOW. Obvously those tripple lines weren't set right!

  • @hezakeeper no its called not all jumps are set perfectly, thats why your horse should have enough training to be super adjustable between fences... XC jumps are way more difficult to negotiate than these and the distances are not even necessarily set perfectly within the striding, thats why eventing requires dressage- because you would die on an advanced course without it.

  • Worst triple I've ever seen.

  • Those riders should go back to the basics of jumping before they jump that high. Those poor horses' mouths! Learn how to ride properly before you injure your horse or yourself.

  • its not a matter of riding its more a matter of training on the horses part.

  • My guess is most people who are knocking riders have not had any experience at significant heights-much less grand prix level. I would love to sit you all up there on some big ass 17 hand firecracker and have you jump a difficult course like that.

  • it would at least be nice if the horses were ingaged...a little ingagement would be good for the horses health.

  • i was there!! u can kinda see me...i was sitting right above the middle oxer in that killer triple. seriously, that was the scariest class i've ever seen!!! crazy night!!

  • wooooow!that coarse was hard and most of those riders either held their horse back too much or got to forward in their seat and didnt let their horses jump up 2 them. kudos to the girl that one her horse was amazing!!!

  • omg who ever designed that course is a flippin idiot

  • actually, he's probably very, very smart. the whole point of course designing is to have very few double clears.

  • no the riders need to stop hauling on their horse's mouth and getting forward.
