First off I need to say this... There are a bunch of retards commenting on this video haha. Second, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND getting the ION drumkit. It is 20x better than this shitty stock model. I went through 3 on these peices of shit spending $50 each time for a new one. Its $250 for the ION so I said what the hell? I have been playing on them for 1 and a half years now and the is no wear and tear showing. It is so worth getting I highly recommend you get them. But great vid. Shows EA its shit.

Yeah, all you have to do is loosen the sensor on the yellow and blue drums a few turns. Then it'll play perfectly fine, no socks or further modding required.

yah that extra port is if you have an electric drumkid you can get a midi expansion and connect it through the drumkit and use your electric drums for the rockband drumkit!

I'm gonna get this at Gamestop for the PS3 :) I think theses are much better than the GH ones since it's easier for me to alternate between pads (The hi-hats on the GH ones can cause me to hit under them and stuff). I can't wait to try it out on GH!

ive had my drum kit since it came out. no mods. just cymbals and another basic metal pedal so i have double bass. it has worked perfectly and still works perfectly. so some kits are better than others i suppose. not everything can be perfect.

The Guitar Hero drums are so much better. the pads barely make any noise and allow you to bounce your strokes, making rolls much easier. also, the guitar hero drums actually have a drum feel to them. don't let rock band fool you, those symbol add-ons don't change anything about the game, their pointless. 4 linear pads are to basic for me to feel like im actually playing the drums, but 5 pads (as in Guitar Hero) with a hi-hat and crash symbol, a snare and two toms actually feels like drums.

My parents spent a good couple hundred dollars on a brand new Rock Band 2 drum kit with all 3 cymbals. The only thing is any time you hit the red or blue drum pad, it vibrates enough to where it activates the yellow drum pad.

So basically, if you hit red or blue, yellow will go off as well, making it impossible for you to pass songs on expert.

And they say that Rock Band is made by a non-shit company. That was the biggest waste of money I've ever spent.

I don't hit it hard. It doesn't matter how hard you hit the red pad, the yellow one will always register as long as you've struck the red.

And no, I would not like to get silencers just to fix something that was broken out of box. I expected a drum kit that actually worked. If they're not going to give me what I expect, I'm not going to purchase more accessories from a company that does a half assed job making kits.

It's not damaged. It didn't have a scratch on it. It was designed this way.

Coheed and Cambria obviously wont break your pedal. Play something difficult repetitavly and you will see what I mean.This calling, Panic attack, Prequil to the Sequill. Play those enough, if you use a RB1 foot pedal, it will eventually break

You have to adjust the sensitivity take it apart and use tape or a small thin wooden stick which takes the vibration away a little bit more from the blue which leads to triggering the yellow pad

@serik21 The mystery for the black port on the back is that it is used for double bass, and the port will only be used in the upcoming Rock Band 3. To have double bass in RB 1, 2, Beatles and Green Day, you will have to use a splitter box that takes another 2 batteries(or something like that). The reason for this is that RB3 detects your second pedal and asks you if you want to use the second pedal as a bass pedal or as a hi hat pedal. Wonder why they didn't let us use that port before. :/

When it came out of the box for me, the blue pad couldn't hit twice in a row. Because of this I failed give it away, and I hit the blue pad in anger. For some reason after I hit it, the blue pad started picking up on everything and now it works perfectly. Try hitting your red pad and see if that works.

I noticed that sometimes when you hit just the air (i.e. not the drums) it still picks up (correctly even). generally speaking, i haven't had any issues with blue vs. yellow yet (on the RB2 drumkit), but this may have something to do with a) how hard you hit and b) how fast the consecutive notes are, thus I'll admit I may not be far enough into the difficulty levels...

it is worth it the drums are really good, the only problem now is the bubbles, sometimes after palying ur drums fast and hard, u will dent the foam under making small bubbles appear, its not a big problem but it can be fixed, my red pad is starting to bubble slightly
