  • looks great ...boy you guys in canada must have a short growing season. i though my season was short

  • @pinetar100 Risk of frost ends June 1....... begins again in early/mid Sept.

Last year we had snow fall in every month but Jul or Aug. You won't find anyone more in tune with the weather forecast than I......! LOL

  • In southern Ontario we haven't been having very warm weather for the last week either (15C today). Hope it warms up your way soon! Have you been seeing any bees flying around your yard, even with the cooler weather ? With the flowering progress on your tomatoes, you will be needing those bees soon. Those are Beautiful tomatoes. Yours kick my tomato buts. Much to the dismay of my neighbours, my tomatoes are in my front garden this year, since the backyard toxic black walnut tree weakens them.

  • Oh and yeah...crazy rain!!!!!

  • OH no not a lawn freak!!! LOL!

  • I'm jealous your tomatoes look fantastic and your carrots are doing better then mine too. Mine are outside in the garden they germinated and then just sat there for two weeks I'm just starting to see some real leaves on them now, they got compost tea this morning so I hope to see improvement. I think you could thin your a pit now but I would leave them a bit crowded so the next time when you do the final thinning you will get some baby carrots.

  • @dalecalder2003 I like the idea of munching on the thinnings!

Not sure if my carrots are showing 'real'' leaves yet....they stalled a bit here too.....But, I swear by the compost tea for their growth now. The tiny tims were all started under 24hr florescent lights......for a month inside......and ever since....in the green house (heated). I have 1 tomato left inside on 18/6 hrs and it too is flowering. Very determined 'determinate' plant!

  • @flyinggig1 I'm going to start some more lettuce under lights soon to replace the ones in the garden as I harvest them. I have one greenhouse cucumber seed left and I plan to grow that under lights this fall and winter, $8.65 for five seeds. They are a hybrid with all female blossoms so everyone produces a cucumber, no need for pollination so I think that should work well in the house.
