Bravo Christopher Frayling, someone who understands Henry James, the process of making a great film and the detail of intelligent thought required to make a work of art. I think this film transcends the original and also the opera, although the music for that is quite sublime.
Thanks for posting this wonderful film on The Innocents. I have been obsessed by it since I first saw it as a teenager in the late 70's and have never seen anything on the making of the film before this.
