It's sad that a historian and scholar who organizes to represent a disenfranchised, helpless people through his intellect and writings in the face of thuggishness and militarism is automatically portrayed either a terrorist, a cohort, or a sympathizer. The American media's shamelessly orientalist portrayal of the Middle East through its coverage of various "news stories" there has degenerated into a fully-realized racism and hate towards Arabs that is beyond reproach.
Anyone who's ever read an historical essay by Rashid Khalidi (or his father, what you might say the principal historian of the Palestinian people) can only get sick while listening to this. Palin couldn't even get his NAME right.
And this guy Oberman is about as far left and nasty as it gets. No wonder MSNBC only gets about 600,000 viewers per night when Fox News gets about 4 to 7 million viewers per night. Fair and balanced. And yes Sarah Palin is now tied with BO and every GOP potential presidential candidate is beating BO in the polls. This fall a revolution will take place and the GOP will take control and stop this BO nazi black liberation theology radical who loves communism and hates whites.
This is why McCain got creamed. His campaign abandoned the middle of the country and started preaching exclusively to the radical right. Anyone who didn't watch FOX News exclusively knew that the "guilt by association" smear attacks were complete bull.
This video's a disgrace. It would be wrong for a candidate not to associate with Khalidi, one of the true experts about Israeli and a real humanitarian. Although Olbermann complains about guilt by association, he himself practices it. It would have been much better if Olbermann had defended Khalidi, whose only offense is that he thinks Palestinians, like everyone, deserve human rights. Better still, he could have invited Khalidi on to explain his views. But there's one political party in da USA.

We do not recall any contact between Mr. Khalidi and IRI, and there is no evidence that Mr. Khalidi benefited in any way from IRI's grants.
Other organizations that reportedly gave funding to CPRS include the National Endowment for Democracy, the U.S. Chamber of Commerces Center for International Private Enterprise, the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations, the Japanese Embassy, and Germanys Friedrich Naumann Stiftung.
What about acknowledging McCain's own ties to Khalidi. According to the IRS, the International Republican Institute (IRI), which McCain has chaired since 1993, gave the organization that Khalidi founded, the Center for Palistinian Studies, about $450,000 for work it was doing polling in the Gaza Strip. Isn't that pure hypocrisy?
Someone explain to me please why when Israel says jump the American government says how high? correct if Im wrong but I believe the palistinians fought for an won thier little strip of land to live on???
Actually the Palestinians fought and lost the little strip of land that was taken from them in the mid 1900s which was subsequently made into the modern state of Israel.
Over the years Israel has further expanded beyond the land it was given into current Palestine and cry foul that the Palestinians are pissed and want them out.
If I wanted to set up a country for a people based on their specific culture and ethnicity, I think I might be called racist. But, in the case of a certain real-life country - this is a thought crime.
