@ikes3151 you can turn of the camera 2d and 3d. All 3d content is recognised by the phone so it automatically switches. The LG 3d phone had a dedicated 3d space that can be activated by clicking the app or by pressing the 3d button.
Lots of people complaining about battery life. Its a shame that none of the manufacturer's listen. Id be more than happy for a slightly thicker phone if it means lasting a complete day on a single charge.

@00wen1 i had both the ept4g and evo3d and ill take my 3d any day i love the phone never had problem with it either. the dualcore snapdragon never lags. im a big fan of sense. the gs2 was really good and super fast 2 but it had gps issues. evo3d gets a gps lock fast all the time. the 3d part is just a bonus as far as im concerened
@JEEPOFFROADV8 I have the evo 3d aswell, my friend has the sgs2. All my friends agree i have a cooler phone, not only from the 3d. From my experience with the gs2 the touch screen doesnt seem very responsive. Evo 3d FTW

More Updates(which have more stuff in there updates), Itunes(easy to backup and restore you phone) No nearly as many force closes, and Jailbreaking is similar to rooting but Jailbreaking is still better in my opinion Apple made everything simple.

Really, search "flashlight", there are too many multiplied apps. Although im not saying the android market is better, its not, but apple fans need to stop jumping through hoops because of all the apps on there. In my opinion, Android is the better buy. @IndyenRtist if u are a premium sprint customer, u were able to order the phone on the 2st., next day delivery. i got mine at around 12 noon on the 22nd. and i got my rebate back instantly instead of having to wait a month.
When you are doing a review is not about what you will use ..It's about tellling people about the phone ...Who care if you use 3d or not ....And yes there is a million people out there who will use 3d

@b5clubber iPhone's time is past. Every time they announce a new device/OS upgrade, it's always them playing catch up. Last year, iPhone 4 looked like crap next to the Samsung and HTC devices. This year is really going to be no different. Apple trying to play catch up. Apple is no longer the giant they used to be. Now people actually prefer other devices over Apple. Look at Verizon.

@halo7×7 evo 3d is ok I've had plenty of phones motorola new skin is completely diffrent then blur.I agree htc sense3.0 is better by all means.but the design I don't enjoy petsonally plus motorola will be following htc leads with unlocking bootloader they have already annouced that. Current Evo 4g owner. I'll pass on this even though it looked enticing. Love the new resolution, but I do not like the 3D camera. In 2D mode pictures come out bad (My evo has 8MP and the 3D has 5MP in 2D mode) It is missing the kickstand and I'm not too excited about the new 3D carousel. Even the interviewer sounds bored
@RRIATproductions Did I mention you can only view 3D pictures on the PHONE? 3D pictures don't come out well when uploaded to websites like facebook, flickr, etc. And don't even get me started on video
@RRIATproductions the 3d's camera is actually alot better than the evo 4g..remember megapixels are only good for large print outs..other than that a 5mp camera can easily beat an 8 or 10 mp camera..its all on the sensor they use..plus there is a case for a kickstand you can buy from htc and htc is making a battery case with a built in kickstand,,believe me if you liked the evo at all the evo 3d will be ALOT better..it actually is the Htc EVO 4g "2"..sprint said that name would be too long.

I am switching service providers from Verizon to Sprint so that's why I thought it'd be a good idea to go with the 3D versus the 4G. I agree with you, though. I've looked at my son's 3DS and the 3D effect gives me a headache. Hopefully it won't be too similar (the 3D effect). Even still, that processor is what's really got me hooked.
@luckey313 If you are switching providers, by all means go for it! Sprint is willing to work with customers so if you don't like the phone, trade it in for an Evo lol. If they aren't willing to do that, then threaten to cancel your contract. Works every time lol
@luckey313 Actually, it's exactly the same. From what I've heard, Sharp produces the screens for both the Nintendo 3DS and the EVO 3D. However, keep in mind that you can turn off the 3D effects and that the 3D is used mainly for entertainment. Pictures and video are mostly all that's in 3D (as well as some games and apps as shown in the video).
It doesn't give me a headache, but it does strain my eyes. However, I LOVE the depth-3D. The pop-out 3D would be strange on a phone and it'd feel weird.
I thought the 3D slider on the phone was only for the camera. I probably just misheard it. That would be great if I could just turn it off. Hopefully it won't be too vital to the phone. If it is, I won't be able to use it for extended periods. Thanks though.
@luckey313 Actually, the 3D slider on the side DOES only affect the picture/video taking :3
However, you can still view content (even 3D content) in 2D. It isn't vital at all to the phone. Like I said, mostly photos/videos are 3D, and you can disable 3D on them as well. The UI effects do NOT utilize the 3D capable screen (not sure about weather).
I would love to try the Photon before I get the EVO, but I don't think I'll be upgrading until a few months anyway, so I should be fine.
@RRIATproductions Well you're wrong I'd only have it for a year I'm a gold customer so my upgrade is a year and if for some reason I really hate the phone I can always return it they give you 30 days. I love my EVO so I can always get another one and I wasn't leaving Sprint anyway so the 2 year contract doesn't mean anything.
Until I use the other things on the phone I can't decide if I want to keep it.
Current evo 4g owner.im not feeling this new evo @ all 3d is a total gimmick htc failed in my eyes hello moto photon 4g is what new evo 3d should of looked like...ill pass on thos one..

i got mine yesterday guys and its pretty cool. i barely use the 3d feature, its like an extra for me in case i ever get bored. buts its a really fast phone

@IndyenRtist if u are a premium sprint customer, u were able to order the phone on the 2st., next day delivery. i got mine at around 12 noon on the 22nd. and i got my rebate back instantly instead of having to wait a month.

@b5clubber iPhone's time is past. Every time they announce a new device/OS upgrade, it's always them playing catch up. Last year, iPhone 4 looked like crap next to the Samsung and HTC devices. This year is really going to be no different. Apple trying to play catch up. Apple is no longer the giant they used to be. Now people actually prefer other devices over Apple. Look at Verizon.

@halo7×7 evo 3d is ok I've had plenty of phones motorola new skin is completely diffrent then blur.I agree htc sense3.0 is better by all means.but the design I don't enjoy petsonally plus motorola will be following htc leads with unlocking bootloader they have already annouced that. Photon 4g is a nice ass phone I like the look much better to each is own.but enjoy your evo 3d ill enjoy my photon. Atleast we have choices I upgrade a lot im sure ill buy evo 3d on release date but just my opinion.

Current Evo 4g owner. I'll pass on this even though it looked enticing. Love the new resolution, but I do not like the 3D camera. In 2D mode pictures come out bad (My evo has 8MP and the 3D has 5MP in 2D mode) It is missing the kickstand and I'm not too excited about the new 3D carousel. Even the interviewer sounds bored

@RRIATproductions the 3d's camera is actually alot better than the evo 4g..remember megapixels are only good for large print outs..other than that a 5mp camera can easily beat an 8 or 10 mp camera..its all on the sensor they use..plus there is a case for a kickstand you can buy from htc and htc is making a battery case with a built in kickstand,,believe me if you liked the evo at all the evo 3d will be ALOT better..it actually is the Htc EVO 4g "2"..sprint said that name would be too long.

@Halo7x7 You sure? I've seen pics posted online using the 5MP camera in 2D mode on the Evo 3D and they are pretty bad lol.... Idk I guess I'm not into the whole 3D thing but I'd probably have to see it in action. I've only had my Evo for a month or so and I absoultely LOVE it. Since I've only had it for such a short time, I guess I'm not really interested in upgrading right now. I do admit though, certain aspects of the 3D are enticing. Love the size. I love big phones lol Man phones

@RRIATproductions i played with the EVO 3d today at Best Buy I have it pre ordered and you're right the pics aren't as good as my EVO 4g and the 3d gave me a headache... I'm going to rethink this before I trade it in on friday.

@luckey313 Not necessarily... If I upgrade to the Evo 3D I'm giving up certain specifications that I'm just too selfish to give up such as my 8MP camera. I mean this phone pretty much takes place of my actual camera haha. The 3D would give me a headache anyway.... I just don't see the need to upgrade. I think it'd be great for a newcomer to the Evo family though.

I am switching service providers from Verizon to Sprint so that's why I thought it'd be a good idea to go with the 3D versus the 4G. I agree with you, though. I've looked at my son's 3DS and the 3D effect gives me a headache. Hopefully it won't be too similar (the 3D effect). Even still, that processor is what's really got me hooked.

@luckey313 If you are switching providers, by all means go for it! Sprint is willing to work with customers so if you don't like the phone, trade it in for an Evo lol. If they aren't willing to do that, then threaten to cancel your contract. Works every time lol

@luckey313 Actually, it's exactly the same. From what I've heard, Sharp produces the screens for both the Nintendo 3DS and the EVO 3D. However, keep in mind that you can turn off the 3D effects and that the 3D is used mainly for entertainment. Pictures and video are mostly all that's in 3D (as well as some games and apps as shown in the video).
It doesn't give me a headache, but it does strain my eyes. However, I LOVE the depth-3D. The pop-out 3D would be strange on a phone and it'd feel weird.

I thought the 3D slider on the phone was only for the camera. I probably just misheard it. That would be great if I could just turn it off. Hopefully it won't be too vital to the phone. If it is, I won't be able to use it for extended periods. Thanks though.

@luckey313 Actually, the 3D slider on the side DOES only affect the picture/video taking :3
However, you can still view content (even 3D content) in 2D. It isn't vital at all to the phone. Like I said, mostly photos/videos are 3D, and you can disable 3D on them as well. The UI effects do NOT utilize the 3D capable screen (not sure about weather).
I would love to try the Photon before I get the EVO, but I don't think I'll be upgrading until a few months anyway, so I should be fine.

@RRIATproductions Well you're wrong I'd only have it for a year I'm a gold customer so my upgrade is a year and if for some reason I really hate the phone I can always return it they give you 30 days. I love my EVO so I can always get another one and I wasn't leaving Sprint anyway so the 2 year contract doesn't mean anything.
Until I use the other things on the phone I can't decide if I want to keep it.
