  • Intelligent :)

  • That.was.GREAT!!! can't wait to move there!!!-3

  • Heh. Providing free entertainment to guest of the hotel, after it was too late to change reservations. Once again, ego trumps reason.

  • And all the employees got fired on the same day. :D

  • @Pshotnik thats wat Unions r for.

  • STAR ONE: BAD HOTEL I DON'T CARE DON'T USE LADY GAGA'S BAD ROMANCE U DISRESPECTFUL BEACHES

  • @star1oner1 how do you gaga would like it? its more disrespectful to speak for someone you don't know. :)

  • Compared to the T mobile UK flash mobs, this is hit

  • @AzErNy

they wouldn´t make more money or would get a fair contract or any of this, even for more work! and thats the point! obviously you are just stupid...

  • @013730134215

Amazing, mature response there Wofat...Way to address the issue and make a great point. I stand by my position here. Strikes have been around for ages, this is just another way to do it. Should the american workforce bend over for companies that do them wrong? Is that what you are saying? Not right. And I'll say it again, kids hear much worse than "gayass" on the playground (school or not). Do you honestly think these kids won't learn these words from their peers?

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

  • San Francsico ?? don't you mean ' Francisco ' ? :D

    BTW, Great way to express.

  • How does driving customers away from a hotel help the employees again? I forget.

  • @kesayo It hurts the employer by causing them to lose business. Same logic as a strike, work-to-rule, or any other form of anti-productive industrial action.

  • That was extremely engenius!!!

  • Well I'm just a working stiff, but after seeing this I'm opposed to worker's rights... A truly pathetic display- "gayass" Do u see there are kids in the lobby? Wow- u kooks are harming your own cause. Is this what our public schools are teaching? Childish, ineffective, garbage.

  • @WoFat69

To:WoFat69: Wow, for a working stiff you seem to have no concept of the actual working public. If you think that the word "gayass" , is the main issue with our children today, than their are more issues than I can possibly describe. A: Do you honestly think that our kids won't learn profanity from our peers. They will. Who do you want them to learn from? Really? I would be happy to teach them my ideals. In fact, I would be thrilled. Send them to me. Please.

  • @WoFat69 Stuff like this helped bring down the Polish communist government- look up "Orange Alternative". If it works, don't knock it.

  • @WoFat69 You claim to be a "working stiff", yet the word "gay ass" is enough to turn you against fair wages and health care for hotel workers? That's childish. They came up with a song they thought people would pay attention to. If it gets its message across and people listen, it's effective. And believe me buddy, kids hear a lot worse than "gay ass" from their nasty, snot nosed peers on a regular basis.

  • wtf not flash mob thats flash... comdy

  • Good emphasis on the importance of the rights of workers

  • but wait a second Drago. If these people are fighting for you and all local 2 members, you are probably getting 10 bucks per hour only and there will be no union. Some body have to fight for the rest of the people. I'm a pipe fitting union too and our wage is exceptionally high coz our union fight for us. 78/hr brother!

  • That group obviously has way too much free time.

And no common sense. Honestly, if you have that much time to put together this parody of a song, then you obviously have enough time to work at your job and earn some money out of it.

  • @DragoSonicMile: I don't think they have too much free time. The working conditions are often very bad. And they often work more and more for the same wage. That's not fair! And I won't begin to write about healthcare!

I'd always support this group! I can share their pain!

  • @jhanssen87 Their working conditions are bad? They are paid to stand around in an air conditioned building all day. We (taxpayers, consumers) owe them what exactly.

I live in SF, and these people have an amazing sense of self entitlement. Demanding handouts is not good enough... they literally take it from you at some places. If these people think life/people owe them anything, they need to travel more. Most of them don't even acknowledge life outside the city. Ignorant lot.

  • If they're all gay, shouldn't they be better dancers?!?

  • @VaneWimsey well you just rely on stereotypes then to believe that

  • You've got guts! :)

  • You've got gouts! :)

  • @giusy84 You've got goats!

  • @dovie2blue yeah that too... :)

  • @giusy84 ;) heh.

  • Has the instrument part ever heard of pitch?

  • I stayed in this hotel once, It was pretty dumpy.

  • What a bitch. Leave the poor front desk agent alone.

If you're going to be so obnoxious in public, you can at least not suck so badly.

  • I got news for you spammaplease, is almost imposible to "outsource" hotel industry and on the other hand, the misery of this country is that the riches getting richer at employees expenses. so, deal with it.

  • Odds any of these people in the performance know the effects unionizing labor groups has on American economy (and as a result outsourcing US jobs) - 1 in about 2,000.

  • This is distasteful. I love flashmobs and it would have been cool if they did a dance or something but they shouldnt have mixed it with their protest. If they want to boycott the hotel they should just not go there in the first place... Yelling in the lobby about their problems seems childish. Im all for giving those workers what they deserve but this wasnt the way to do it.

  • @sunchipsftw12

Yea, i never understood why they got that name 'flashMOB' in the first place either!

  • @sunchipsftw12 you strike where it hurts the businessman and this place is the hotel where he collects the money. You dont strike where it is proper according to your savoir vivre

  • Best video of all time.

  • This is amazing.

  • θεοί!!!!!!!!!!!! αυτό θα πει ακτιβισμός!!

  • wonderful!

  • I think the guys are danced better than the girls

  • i believe in fair wages NOT unions - with rare exception

  • @WAR41 it would be nice. It's called caring for your fellow human being. Noone needs that much money. No single person could ever need it or purposefully use it. And if you want to see CEOs that have a heart... w w w inc.com/articles/2010/08/bryan-sims-giving-pledge.html

  • Last night at a party someone put on Bad Romance and like half of the people there sung your lyrics above the Gaga-version ^_^

  • FUCKING LOVE IT!!

  • Really great action!! That's one way the system should fought!! :-))))

  • I didn't think it could get worse than Lady gaga... it just did.

  • hahahah u don't know how this is good publicity for the hotel

  • As a gay man I have to say I'm thoroughly embarrased by these assholes disrupting normal business - there are better ways to make your point idiots!

  • @retroventure it is all how you look at life, not only did they get their message out but did it in an entertaining way for the patrons of the hotel, very impressive unlike those "tea partiers" who just yells hate

  • @retroventure Would you have said the same to the Stonewall rioters? Needless to say, too, that not having a fair contract or healthcare tends to disrupt one's "normal business" but I guess they're only the scum workforce.

  • Solidarity from Greece! Keep the Great Work !!

  • wow, this was really courageous! good job!

  • I didn't feel it... the concept is semi-okay.

    *take baton to town!*

  • Trespassers, bordering on terrorism. Boycott/assemble/protest on public property.

Your protest is probably actionable and hopefully - next time - security will stick a boot up your asses (which most of you probably adore).

  • i totally know where that's at.

there are always strikes and boycotts there!!

  • That hotel lobby looks amazing; I'll definitely stay there this Fall!

  • you guys can probably get affordable healthcare since your all clearly disabled

  • @oldhat69 come on man... don't make it so easy to come back at you. Its "you're" not "your". I hate to be the grammar police, but when you call out some one for being an idiot at least spell and grammar check your sentence.

  • @WAR41 Yeah, fair point. I can be an ass, I was just in a bad mood, many apologies.

  • lady gaga much? XDD

  • i feel bad for them lol

    but its funny

  • 2nd hand embarrassment right now.

  • Soo much better than the Westboro Baptist version!!

  • I love it! Great and creative protest....we need more of this!

  • I'm glad to see this. Creative protest. Should be more of it. Boycotts are legit, and there should be more of them, too.

  • What kind of secure jobs do you KIDS have??? If you want to do something constructive, stop whining, get jobs at a newspaper or magazine where you could make your smart mouths WORK instead of WAISTING time & TRESPASSING. You are harassing the REAL working classes of the world. Are any of you little kiddies actually an employee of that or ANY hotel, or any other company, or is it your job to COMPLAIN about EVERYTHING??? I hope you all get arrested, maybe you'll wake up. Get a life for Peat sake.

  • I want the organizers of this stunt to know that I will be staying at each of those hotels whenever I visit SF from now on.

If you want health care, perhaps instead of being an aspiring actor or writer who spends all your days off "networking" at Starbucks and talking about how racist people are for not accepting universal health care, you should actually go to college, get a degree and *SHOCK* GET A REAL JOB! I can attest to the fact that earning a steady income and having insurance rules

  • @WAR41 Well aren't you a real hero? If you can't accept that people often have legitimate grievances and sometimes use creative ways such as this -instead of being a bitter, stale, twisted soul like you- to express them, then just keep your lame comments to yourself. Cretins like you add nothing to the world except just take up space. Now go to the Westin S. Francis diner and order yourself a cafe latte extra hot and suck on it.

  • @michaelmouse1 Aww I never knew the hotel workers of SF were so oppressed. I accept these idiots can say what they want, but I don't have to agree with it. Does that make me raciss or uncaring? Yes I add nothing to the world except the tax dollars on my comfortable salary that you use for redistribution of wealth. You are a drain on society.

If you don't like your benefits, get out of there. Its the beautiful part of this country. No one forces you to keep your job. You are free to go anywhere

  • @WAR41 youre pretty stupid arent you. "no one forces you to keep your job"?? Ok, so somebody goes around giving people free money, food and clothing???

  • @sukanara a comment like that and I am stupid? I didn't know that since birth these people were forced into hotel worker jobs. I didn't know that they were not allowed to switch jobs if they were unhappy. For some reason I have been able to freely move around from job to job. As for "Ok, so somebody goes around giving people free money, food and clothing", yes, its called the federal government. My tax dollars allow you to foreclose on your mortgage and buy Klondike bars with food stamps

  • @WAR41 yeah, say this for every low-payed job and and we'll have no social-system or health care left. great solution of problems like precarious jobs. "just go away and dont look at it!"

  • @vanillacokemz What are you talking about? Sorry that your job sucks. If you dont like it THEN LEAVE IT. Everyone has an opportunity to go to college. Everyone has an opportunity to get a REAL JOB. Its not my fault that some aspiring actors have to work at a hotel with poor benefits in order to chase their "dream". No, you want the hotel to pay for their benefits which will increase the cost to the consumer. You people always want "the rich" to fix your problems. Looking forward to those hotels!

  • WAR41 its a question of principle: you like leaving in frustration, we like fighting in resistance ("in drag" = two meanings). just because resistance produces less paranoia but more fun.

and you obviously dont leave what you dislike as you come back again to comment this video (you like it!!!).

just cuz someone leaves a badpaid job, the job is not vanishing and someone else will do it under same bad conditions. this is whats called perpetuation of problems, the opposite of solving them.

  • @vanillacokemz supply and demand. Ever heard of it? There is an excess supply of idiotic hotel workers and not enough demand for them. That is why they are stuck with poor benefits. There will always be a supply of morons for these jobs. You are artificially inflated the cost of a hotel stay and decreasing demand for hotel workers by insisting on benefits. That means some of your resistance fighters will lose their jobs and cry to Michael Moore about it. But its always the big corporations fault

  • @WAR41 so you mean people with lowpaid jobs are mostly stupid and therefore its their fault? you ever heard of something like dignity? you ever cared about solidarity? you know that without solidarity (which came to us cuz of fighting for it and not cuz of ignorance) there is no society? you ever heard of aesthetics of politics? you know that the world is not as simple as supply and demand? you know its heavily complex? ancient greeks would have called you athyhroglossos... you lack a door...

  • @vanillacokemz ancient greeks would have called you "lesbos"

  • @goldschle i wouldnt mind that.
