  • Pure synth gold.

  • this is one of the best analog demos i have heard. and i'm very picky! you could say that this is a demo for some new $4000 pure analog synth and people would believe it. GREAT JOB! so question... if this sounds so good and people say that the jx3p sounds "better" because of different chips... is there a possibility i like the rack better? ha.

  • somehow this sound better then my jx-3p...

  • ace

  • As with your other videos I'm really impressed! Excellent example and proof that it's that it's the user that makes a synthesizer sound good. You don't have to have the best gear to make great sounds. You just have to be creative and talented and really explore the possibilities of a synth.

As stated before, there are far too many synth videos on Youtube with people who don't know how to play, arrange, program and use a synth musically.

  • I picked mine up over 10 years ago from a Genesis Cover band that was disbanding. I got the PG200 with it as well and 1 memory cartridge. I haven't used it in recent years, but I"m never getting rid of it.

All the string parts, bassline in this track is the MKS-30

  • never sold mine... never will... my grandkids can have it when I'm gone... with the programer box, this is just a handy way to add all 'those' sounds... but I have never taken the time to tweak it like this! ... excellent job... and yes... are you up for publishing the parameters? ... or some of the tricks you've used?

  • this is my first youtube reaction ever. This actually is worth the effort. This shit rocks!

  • simply great!

  • There hasn't been a famous dipshit using one of these yet, that's why they are "underrated". Even now, I think it's just a matter of time before some kid buys one of these on the cheap, gets famous, and these babies double.

  • i love my MKS30.

  • awesome work, was looking for some inspiration for using my mks 30 today and this is definitely doing the trick :D ...... sooooo lush, want more

  • sweeeeeeet!

  • wow!

  • Great!

  • Would you share your patches?

  • Excellent song!!! Thanks for sharing!

  • Since the MKS 30 is not multi timbral you did some mixing work...and the composition have some " improvisation " mood that´s right ? How did you create the "percussion " parts ? Wonderful synth work ! thank you for share !

  • Excellent demo! Do you know if the Juno 60 is capable of making these same sounds? because these are some spectacular vintage sounds

  • @culturaleyes Juno 60 is far more limited sonically compared to the 2 OSC / Syncable JX-3P/MKS-30. I'm sure you could aproximate it but tonally it wouldn't be as cool imo.

  • So nice to hear the MKS-30 being used to its full potential. Very inspiring work!

  • Wow if you can make an Mks30 sound this good then I wonder what you could do with the Mks80?

  • @maccagrabme

ok, within the next time, i will make a demo with the MKS 80.

  • Something that most people don't know is that mks 30 isn't the rack version of the jx-3p.... and the proof is that mks 30 has the 80017a chips of Roland Juno 106..

The Jx-3p has the IR3109 chips same as Juno 60 ! That means they have different filter sound and different character ;)

So Mks 30 has unique sound like a juno 106 in addition of 2 oscillators...!!!

  • I love how there are all these CS80 and MemoryMoog demos that sound like crap and you come in here with the comparably lowly MKS-30 and lay waste to the place! A great example of what an underrated synth can do in the right hands. BRAVO!!!

  • Yes! Sweet demo! Thumbs up :)

Perhaps I should get my JX-3P+PG200 and start using it a bit more.

FX sound nice. What are they?

  • Ah yes and this goldy of course... v=Ft5o-FKQ3ug

  • Reminds me of the brilliant Logic album by Logic System:

  • Nice track and sounds.

    Is the track already released?

  • I know i already said that but you should release those tracks and tell us where we can buy it ! You already have a few fans in Canada .

  • Very cool sounds. I liked the music too, brilliant!

  • You should totally have this track released somewhere. And then tell us where we can buy it. Or provide us with the mp3. And the rest of your work :)

  • wow ...super nice ...your videos/tracks are great..

  • Well done. Nice music. Great sounding patches.

  • cool space tune!!!!! i like it

  • nice. I love my MKS-30 & PG-200 but there too much noise on mine. My JX-3P was much clearer.

  • Dude, give me some patch sheets so I can get these sounds on my JX-3P!

  • Simply the best MKS-30 demo, not just Youtube but online as well. 5 stars for the sounds and composition. Thank you!

  • Super demo!
