  • I hope the final episode is as great and historic as this episode! May the final be a tribute to Nancy.

  • RIP Nancy Hughes

  • what year is this from?

  • Episodes such as this prove why ATWT was the greatest soap of all time. Damn CBS and P&G for running it into the ground.

  • "ATWT" has been officially cancelled as of this writing.

    Very sad....

  • That was beautiful. Put poor Don obviously wasn't feeling well.

  • Yeah Don McLaughlin died not long after this and it is very clear that he was not all with it during this clip. He only says a couple lines and throughout the song he just stands there with his mouth open. It's a shame such a great actor had to be like this in one of his final performances.

  • ATWT had such a sparkling future at this time, everything was in place. Seeing this beautiful tribute to their two most beloved cast members and such respect for the show's history makes me so emotional, for what we have lost, for what daytime has lost. At least we have our memories.

  • !! I LOVE GETTING on the CAM!! msn!!! msg me jane22fall

  • Love helen en don together.

    So sweet...

  • Great video clip. I LOVE Chris and Nancy Hughes on As The World Turns.

  • That was one of the most classic episodes of ATWT, celebrating the rich history of the Hughes and their families. :)

  • Oh to have ATWT back with Doug Marland as headwriter. Thank you so much for a beautiful memory of what this show was and can no longer be!

  • The 3oth and 40th anniversary shows were great because they showed old clips that involved family. The 50th anniversary show was a big disappointment to me. Helen Wagner(Nancy Hughes) deserved a more fitting tribute. The show has a rich history with clips of her 51 years and Bob and Lisa who are in their 47th year.

  • Yeah --he was very much out of it then--I have him in a couple of other episodes just sitting --

I'd love to see Helen Wagner about now and see how she's doing--Glad you are enjoying

  • Do you have Chris and Nancy in any more episodes after the Anniversary.

    Thankyou

  • @patc2000 Helen Wagner passed away on May 1 2010 just four months shy of when ATWT will air its final episode.

  • The full episode is posted on The World of Soap Themes.

  • Yeah, I don't pay any website money.

  • Me either--too lol

and If you want the full episode--

    I have it

  • Really, oh my. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT. Would you be willing to trade vids or what?

  • Sure I'd love to trade--

    Send me a message

    Pat

  • Chris was always great to Nancy I heard. But sadly in 1986, Chris became very ill and died in his sleep in Bob and Kim's apartment, I heard. But 50 years is good!

  • What great tribute to ATWT. Glad to see it again.

  • Glad you enjoyed it--

    patc

  • Do you have the 50th anniversary show from 2006.

  • The 30th anniversary show celebrating Nancy and Chris' wedding anniversary was the best. The 40th anniversary show was good. The 50th anniversary show was a letdown. They could have done more to commemorate Helen Wagner's 50 years in that role.
