Character: Joseph Merrick

Synopsis: Merrick becomes infatuated with Mrs Kendal, a famous actress and is taken to see her performance of Puss In Boots (although he is kept out of sight, in a theatre box). Following the performance, Merrick remains behind until the audience has departed, at which point he reflects and fantasises about the performance and his glamorous heroine. He imagines Mrs Kendal awaits him and becomes absorbed in his own romantic imagination.

I just cant get this song out of my head! I play it often when working. Its lovely and beautifully sung. I like that the words reflect that Joseph was a man with a mans heart and feelings. Well done for this.
