@Proffesi i think its kinda a don't too do. 2 vocals running nice in time behind eachother and true eachother is epic. only 2 vocals over eachother is for me atleased a don't. not here too judge though.
Think your videos are great man and the end of this one made me laugh like mad. Im learning to dj and am gonna be getting some 2000's today... Your an inspiration man!
*pitch or getting the bass right, does that beat's volume decrease so the audience doesn't hear you make the correction or can they even hear you doing that at all? Please let me know cause itsnb
I'm a beginner I have virtual dj and a Dj app on my iPhone that I like to mess around on. I want to get a cheap pair of cdjs that I can connect my laptop to not assed about all fancy stuff that some cdjs have just want basics to start out any help with this please much appreciated and which cdjs will be good to get? Funny guy btw presenting I could watch you all day you legend
@JamesBluemoon1992 I recommend you get a controller that controls the software in your PC, like a Mixtrack Pro. Pretty much same functionality as 2 CDJs and a mixer but with the music in your PC and the effects of your preferred program.
Im a beginner like you and have it, helped me to get a grasp of DJing quick.
If you get a Mixtrack Pro you should also watch the tutorials of DJ Caution, helped me alot.
Your so right!!! Love your videos, they helped me out so much, and im still at the beginning stages... I like throwing in so old MJ with a good house mix, or techno sound.
That last bit of advise was the best.... hahahahahaha XD
To me music is timeless and ageless. It just has the tag which it says that it was released by that time and that's it!!! You should not get or make up your mind around that detail otherwise when you're mixing you will lose the chance to be creative/innovative or THE ONE who played "on that night club that we went" that special track that has so many memories of certain period of my life!! Just bear in mind it's suitable so lets do it!!
I have question sometimes when I'm practicing with your methods, The beats won't fit on eachother to move the cross fade to the other music. Plz help me
interesting thing you bring up here. It seems logical to have some older or non 10 secs from release tunes to spin that your audience can relate to. What makes it new and fresh is the mix you put it in....;) After all djs are entertainers and if your audience is engaged they will keep inspired ;)
Funny how it's been over a year but that version of One is still considered fresh, and is still played. I played it at a club not long ago and everyone went nuts.
What's also funny is that I also played Yves LaRock's Rise Up and some dude was bitching about how I needed to play recent shit (which I was, but I like that tune). Today, I'd still play songs like Meet Her At The Love Parade or Daft Punk's Around The World. Why? Because they're timeless.
@smokejc don't forget justice;) i also still play cry from bingo players i think as long as a hit song isnt over used u can still play it 1 or 2 years after the releace:P
@smokejc I played one yesterday and still play it quiet often. its although a timeless tune, I knew it from the moment I had the record in my hand for the first time...
Damn, this took me much longer than expected, but it is indeed Gold Dust being played at 7:40... Here's the full name for anyone wondering: DJ Fresh - Gold Dust (Sammy J Remix)
Seriously, what is that breakbeat track with the piano that comes in at 7:40 ellaskins? It sure isn't any remix of Dj Fresh - Gold Dust that I've been able to find...
Hay ella, i'm thinking about buying some equipment. But i'm not quite sure what is best or me, my genre is Techno , Tech-house, and i'm wondering if the genre has an impact on what sort of equipment one should use...
Another is question..what would you recomend for me, I was thinking about either a traktor s4 controler + x1 controler (1000 €) or a pioneer set djm 350+ cdj 350 also(1000€)??
