Hi. About the touchpad, it is good to handle the HP dm1 with him or he is not very accurate? I have an acer ferrari one and touchpad it is not very good because it sometimes happens that I give a few clicks on the screen involuntary.Thanks.
I'm holding my breath for the Sony YB Fusion 11". Those I know its gonna cost more because that's what Sony is good at (over charging) I like the design of the upcoming fusion 11" . I love Hps but their design is all the same year after year.
@DJTEVAdotCOM I haven't kicked around a core i3 lately, but speaking from annecdotal experience, I found the performance was decent enough to play some games (not exactly crysis if you catch my drift), watch HD movies (the A-Team in 1080p.)....you get the idea. I found it to be a really good, reasonable laptop. Unfortunately, I had to return it before having the time to give proper benchmarks. As for the other comment you have: As HP's blogger, I'm a little biased, so no comment. ;p
@gizmogladstone i mean is that when u browse the web, scroll the brwoser bar, switching open windows, openning programs...do u feel any lags or sluggest like those horrible Atom netbooks? Regular duo-core laptops are very speedy.
@DJTEVAdotCOM Not quite. On the CPU side it isn't going to reach something like a dual core i3 because this chip is single threaded (and the i3 is multi-thread). On the gpu side it will beat i3 and Atom systems without discrete GPUs but it still isn't going to be on par with discrete Radeon 6310 because the memory bus is shared with the CPU - the discrete GPUs have a dedicated memory bus.
TH E-350 Zacate is not intended to match the power i3, even the old Core2 Duos, they are at least comparable to current Celeron U series (e.g. U3600). But guess what, the core i3 embedded graphics from Intel cannot beat E-350's Radeon 6310.
I'm gonna wait for the SONY YB Fusion model, 3.0 lbs, cooler design, lighted keypad at a little higher price$550 . It's all going to come down to this HP or the SONY.
@moynv53 Honestly, speaker volume is decent -- not gonna fill a room, mind you, but it was good enough to watch a movie while camping in a hotel room.
I'm writing this mid-sprint around CES, but I can tell you that it's plenty bright. It was foggy & dark for most of my trip, but it was crisp & easily viewable. Next, the Windows Index score: 3.8.
I'll get to more questions soon BUT, if you don't mind a shameful plug, please feel free to check the full story at the site: thenextbench-dot-com and ask your questions there. I'll actually see them A LOT sooner. (You can't blame me for asking, right? ;p)
Thanks for the video! I have some open questions, would be great if you could answer them: Is it powerful enough to play 1080p FLASH video? Is this a dual-core processor? How's the display - bright enough? And do you know if and when it's gonna be on sale in Europe with estimate prices? many thanks, Zoebby

How long it takes to recharge a battery with it off or in normal use (surfing in web and watching videos)? Thanks.

Can u tell me if this Fusion chip is close to a core i3? Does it perform fast like those older duo-core laptop?

Yeah, the windows performance index would be nice.
Does it get warm while doing anything resource-heavy, like watching HD video, etc?

Can you post the scores from that windows performance index thing? Thanks

i like that! my problem with netbooks/ulv notebooks is they don't have optical drives. but i might consider this
