Not sure if anyone knows this, but... there IS a Dreamcast 2 coming out in 12/12/12 (release date) . I never played a Sega game before, though, but I came across this a few months ago. And there were even plans for a Daytona USA 3!

Why all the hate for Daytona 2? It was a great game, with a ton of features (endurance races, the TV mode...) that never even got used because it was an arcade game. They need to make a console remake of that...

Nah, this version should be released. It is superior to the Arcade version, minus the controls, which could be reconfigured to be compatible with wheel periphals.

I have a Dreamcast-Linkcable to conecting 2 Dreamcasts and play on TV different TV's. I can play Ferrari 335 with it. On the original pakage of the linkcable ist standing: To use with Daytona USA 2001. Does anybody in tge world know: Is there any Link-Mode in this Game to play VS Races with two Dreamcast on two TV'S?

I had the original game in my Saturn when I was a young teenager. My dad was, and still is for that matter, a Nascar fan, so I bought him this game with allowance money. It's a nice little arcade racing game, without all the extra BS that you get in an "Official Nascar game". And to be honest, this game and it's sequels and updates are the only racing games I can stand to this day.

I do. I recoloured the Grasshopper to the same colours as the Hornet, and it looks very much like the one from the original Daytona.

Me and 2 mates went to SEGA PARK at the TROCADERO in LONDON with £65 quid and spent half of it having an 8 PLAYER DAYTONA LINK UP UP RACE with others! The most fun iv ever had in the arcades. I nearly got thrown out as i was super hyperactive playing it with my 2 best mates and 6 others and winning 75 percent of the time and was swearing my arse off at the screen. A lady tried to get me removed but i refused and calmed down!

@crushnkill it's better than arcade perfect.. the graphics are a lot sharper with more textures, polygons, and ran a lot smoother since the Dreamcast was capable of way more than the model 2 board the original Daytona used
