Great choice of song - and great video, I like the way you juxtapose Buffy/Spike and Buffy/Dracula with Riley/vamp whores. The only thing that would have made it better is if you included a shot of Buffy with Angel from season 2 or 3, to illustrate Buffy's painful past that she tried to move on from with Riley. If Spike is matched to the "undisclosed desires" line (perfect choice), Angel should be shown at the beginning with the "I know you've suffered" line, IMO.

Since this is exactly what Buffy was trying to hide from, being hurt by love again, when she chose an apparently stable, reliable normal guy like Riley, but wasn't aware that she wasn't completely emotionally opening up to him. Either that, or one of the times when "demons from your past" is mentioned.

@FaithfullNightmare Giles? No, definitely no. GIles is Buffy's father figure, she is like a daughter to him (she doesn't have a father and he doesn't have any children of his own). It's a really beautiful relationship, and it would be wrong to see it in any other way - and I am sure that neither of them saw it in any other way.

@Mrspetersylar Yeah, but that was not the whole story. Essentially, a tleast in the beginning, it was about him trying to relate to Buffy and understand why she was attracted to vampires, and to explore and see if he had that dark side that he thought Buffy was drawn to in men. It was also about his frustration with the feeling that Buffy didn't really need him - when he got bitten by vampires, he felt like he was an object of a desperate need and hunger, which he didn't feel with Buffy.

Lol thanks, I was never very keen on Reily so I didn't pay that much attention. I loved the Spike/Buffy/Reily idea though...he always knew she'd never want him like she did Spike.

@nessieomalley Thanks for your cool comments. :) Nice point re the popping up lyrics - actually they're a straight copy from the music video by Muse. I experimented by putting up the same lyrics at the same time, but with the Buffy/Riley storyline. I'm not sure if it works either. ;p

Yea I agree - it would have been a little better if the lyrics weren't in there.. or even if they were at the bottom or something so it at least didn't get in the way of the picture.. But I also agree that it was an excellent video ... Spuffy is usually my favorite but you def made me fall in love with Buffy/Riley again. Excellent job!
