  • imagine sabbing someone with a bayone then firing the shotgun, very messy.

  • the upper part of the blade is for notching wood, so you can lash better

  • I didn't know that bayonets were allowed to civilians or are you military or law enforcement?

  • @fontanaman13 Nope. It's considered a fixed blade by law, so it's legal regardless as long as your state laws allow it's blade length. The only knives that are restricted by law in the USA are automatic knives (I.E switchblades), and that only depends on the state you live in. For example, in Colorado, autos' are illegal unless you have LEO/Military permission, but in Utah, they're Completly legal to own and carry, so long as you have a clean criminal record, and a concealed carry permit.

  • @noobslaya111 Nice to know.

  • what im wondering would it work on my M16 SPR 22lr rifle

  • Id rather have a taiaha that that

  • dam, i wouldnt wanna try to rob your house

  • ar's arent even combat weapons. they're just civillian practice tools. they don't have the full auto feature that a regular carbine has.

  • @varun009 a large amount of military designated marksman rifles are semi auto only., like the mk11, and even a lot of 556 DMR rifles., are you sayin that semi auto rifles arent used in the military??, because they are.,quote un quote civilian ar's are combat rifles for sure., they just arent full auto, but they are def combat ready rifles if bought from a reputable manufacturer like LMT,KAC, or Colt

  • @MultiSr16 semi auto rifles used in the military are meant for long range engagement. im sorry dude but the ar was specifically made for civilian use.

  • @varun009 haha the ar.. or armalite rifle, made by eugene stoner was developed specifically for the military to replace the m14 battle rifle., there is no possible way you can/or anybody can say that the "AR" was designed/developed for civilian use., and again, NO your wrong., while the military uses semi auto for long range, they also use them for intermiediate range., between 5 and 8 hundred yards.., kinda right where the DMR "AR" works best at.., dude, im ex army n used semi auto, UR WRONG

  • The bayonet will work on a 16" barrel AR but only if it has a mid-length gas system, carbine length forends will not work as the distance between flash hider and lug are too great.

  • And to the non American, it's not that we do these things... It's that our country was born of conflict, and horror. And as a population we have the right and duty to ensure it stays the way we want it. So we arm ourselves. And constantly run scenarios in our heads of what mAy come. We don't want it to (except for zombies, we want that) we just want to be ready. What's that ok'd saying your high school English teacher always said? Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. So your country fails s

  • I think all the people saying that bayonets are not needed are a little slow. It's not about noise level, it's about having a last resort. I'm not a historian, but weren't bayonets affixed to guns because it took FOREVER to reload a single shot rifle? And seeing as how MOST gunfights happen within what? 15 yards or less, doesnt it seem like a good idea? Out of ammo, no time to reload, being rushed... I'll take a bayonet. Especially cuz I'm in California, where We have bullet buttons, and it can

  • @Sadcouchgorilla yes. it took alot to reload Muskets back then. actually, some fights did occur with both factions far from each other. Bayonets are mainly there just in case you get into a close quarter combat with your enemy, so you can stab them with it. also, they have been used when charging towards the enemy, they would put their guns in the front, aiming at the enemy's line and when they collide, the bayonets would stab their enemies. Bayonets have proven to be very useful actually :)

  • I like my bayonet. Really handy for home defense I imagine.

  • it fits on F88 styers

  • @HypeDXClan Cool story bro!

  • Anyone know IF or HOW to attach this bayonet (or ANY bayonet) to a NEF Pardner 12 GA pump??? (Like a Remington 870 12 GA pump) Thanks :)

  • I find it so sad that Americans make videos about weapons like this and they talk about how much damage it could inflict on other people and what not... What the fuck, when the hell would you need to use these weapons? Americans purchasing thousands upon thousands of firearms and only being able to shoot at targets, yet they talk about the damage it could inflict.

Why the fuck would you need to stab someone, slash someone, cut wires...

Never going to USA if they all think like these pricks.

  • @HypeDXClan It's okay, we won't miss you. :)

  • @HypeDXClan Why would I need to cut someone with a knife or even have to carry a knife? Well if I get mugged, I would like some form of self-defense other than my hands. I also go hiking, camping, and climbing a lot. Carrying a knife can be used for more than hurting people. I use mine for prying open lids, tightening or loosening screws when I don't have access to a screwdriver, etc. My girlfriend carries a knife as well in case someone decides to try and rape her.

  • @HypeDXClan Stay Out!

  • @HypeDXClan Sounds like you don't understand the American character. We're as decent and peace-loving as the next society, but remember that this country was first settled and built by armed individuals in remote wilderness, not by the State. This is the origin of our traditions of self-reliance and arms.

  • @HypeDXClan Hahah yes now you get it, and tell all you're friends the same. Don't fuck with us, don't come by us, don't even look in our direction.

  • Very nice review. Informative. Destruction tests are interesting but don't prove anything, excluding finding major factory defects.

  • Just curious... does anyone who owns one of these know if it will work well for throwing? Please respond back to me, thanks!

  • @TheColossus1987 I don't have one, but I doubt that they're good for throwing. I own a set of throwing knives and here's what I know. GOOD throwing knives are one piece...just solid steel, no handle, nothing. They are thin and usually small, although mine are about the size of a short KA-Bar. The weight is also balanced at the hilt or fulcrum...so you can balance it on your finger right at the center point of the knife, and they are also symmetrical. Bayonets are usually unbalanced.

  • awesome vid, never knew bout the wirecutter mode ha

  • is your ar, 16 inch barrel???

  • Reminds me of gears of war 3 retro lancer

  • Ey can you use this the M9 for survival. I know it is wrong but, I'd love me a usable rambo type knife. The look of it is just bad ass.

  • Is there a standard distance from the loop and the clip for the lug in the knife?

  • hey im either gonna get and m 9 bayonet or an m 7. I like the design and the fact that the m 7 is more of a classic but i like the fact that the m 9 is more of a utility knife as well. What would u reccomend

  • I have the S&W SW3B, very awesome knife. Durable and meant to last. Cuts fences and cables easily. $65 at Big5. Big and heavy, but here that's a good thing. My 2012 zombie killer. SW3B has a gut wrenching saw.

  • Stab... AND shoot!!

  • "and they stole that from the russians" LMAO!

question, would this knife work on the m4 or the m16a2?

  • @SleepingWolf26 both

  • also will work on an m14 right? that is... if you can get your hands on one

  • the Bayonet feature is useful for snipers up close if they dont have a pistol

  • will this work on a 16inch barrel , i heard they wont

  • @MultiSr16

    ?? who told you that...

They are used almost exclusively on the 16" models

  • @GearBuyersGuide someone in the army told me., he said they only fit on 20inch and 14.5 inch

  • @MultiSr16

oh, well in the military they only use 14.5 or 20 inch rifles, so... .

BTW I was thinking 20" not 16" .. yes most bayonets are used on 20" for sure (not 16").. but they 'can' be used on pretty much any length

  • @GearBuyersGuide ahhh gotcha., yea check into it., he said they wont work on regular 16inch ar15, somethin bout not fastening properly to the barrel, thx for the help., i really want one but im awash in 16inch hahah damn nfa......btw, whats the barrel length in the vid, looks like 14,5....

  • @GearBuyersGuide I think that on the 16" Barrels with Car lenght handguards and font sight assemblies the Bayonet will be more loose than the 14.5" with car handguard or the 20" with rifle lenght handguard

  • @MultiSr16 The distance between the flash suppressor and bayonet lug on a 20" barrel is the same as a 14.5" barrel. The length between the suppressor and lug on a 16" barrel is longer. A bayonet will lock onto a 16", but will be all sloppy and not fit tight because the muzzle ring on the bayonet will be over the barrel and not tight on the suppressor.

  • @stuntmanmike37 yea i kno man, read my other reply's to this same conversation, we already got that worked out., thanx though stuntman

  • @MultiSr16 yes its true thell only fit on the 14.5 inch barrel the 16 is slighly longer so it wont reach the flash supressor and end up on the barrel

  • @MultiSr16 you can use it. the bayonet will be resting on the barrel instead of the flash hider though, which is less than optimal.

  • with the mossberg you can blow the shit out out of them and if you think there not dead anough you can stab them

  • Heh, I never knew you could do that on a Mossberg, do you know if the M7 Bayonet would fit too?

  • An enemy that has a bayonet thrust into their body mass center will likely NOT scream. Have you ever had the wind knocked out of you? Have you ever seen someone so traumatized they cannot make a sound? Well, there you go. GearBuyersGuide, you were right from the beginning, it is a stealth weapon if expertly applied. If some idiot stabs you in the leg, you will scream. Other spots, not so much.

  • the bayonet while on the weapon is not stealthy, you can stab a soldier and they will still scream, stealthy means to cup the mouth and stab the soldier with the knife while of the weapon. you can stab an enemy soldier several times and they may not die as expected.

  • a bayonet was designed for when you ran out of shells, why, when you have your gun pointed at someone would you try to stab them if you did have shells? think about that.

  • @onthecuttingedge2005

which is quieter? think about that

  • Comment removed

  • @SBEbenelli2

Do you always yell? Do you always whisper? You can do both, but why not always do only one of them??

  • @GearBuyersGuide and bayonets arent that quiet either, stab someone and they will still scream, unless you slit their throAT or close mouth, as cutting edge said, it is mainly a back up weapon. and a real proffessional would use a suppressed pistol and not use the bayonet if he wanted quiet.

  • Comment removed

  • @onthecuttingedge2005 If you are in close quarters hand to hand combat when your position is overrun and the enemy is all around you mixed in with your own men, you use a bayonet instead of firing to avoid hitting your own men. Also in a house you might be able to avoid overpenetrating walls and hitting friendlies.

  • @onthecuttingedge2005 so you dont kill your child in the room next door or have to pay money replacing the plaster on the wall or your shotgun shells

  • that's not a 16.5 inch barrel for an ar is it?

  • This is about exact to the bayonets we had in the Army, I always wanted one. Maybe I'll buy one that's close enough.

  • Are there any considerations that need to be taken into account if buying an upper with bayonet lug such as the distance from the flash hider to the gas block? I used to want an upper without an exposed gas block, and now I am looking for one that will accept bayonets and was just wondering...

  • @ThaddeusMcSpalding ok the m9 bayo and m7 i believe will fit the 14.5'' real m4 bbl, the 16.5'' bbl with midlength gas system, and the 20'' bbl with rifle length gas system. it will also "fit" the 16.'' bbl with carbine length gas system but the barrel sticks out past the hand guard and covers about half the blade. also all variations need a usgi spec bayo lug on the gas block. they do make GB's with a pic rail for fold down sights and bayo lugs if you dont want a fixed fsb. hope this helps

  • @jelliot83 It helps a lot! Thanks for telling me, now I can make sure I get the right upper for my lower. lol

  • What kind of shot gun is that? to have options to install Bayonet, do u need order special or not? and what model of shot gun?? never see B 4

    Thanks for INFOS

** If go to Vietnam again..US must know how to use bayonet!! VC still training for that!!! US is NOT!!!

  • Great review

  • You guys are meaningless in arguing about the use of bayonets. In today's world it may not be designated for primary combat, but it still find HIGH usage ability in mobs control, outdoor survival, scavenging dead, promoting aggressive spirits, as a last resort weapon..etc. It depends on how you use such a tool wisely.

  • 2:20 is that a real gun or is it just a replica?

  • @DeWunUnOnly

    real

  • @GearBuyersGuide Where you in the army? Since i know that cant be used for hunting

  • @DeWunUnOnly

    no

  • @DeWunUnOnly it can absolutely be used for hunting.

  • @godzilla74114 M-16? Short burst Ar-Br? I wanna use that for hunting a deer

  • @DeWunUnOnly its an AR-15, which means Semi-auto.

  • @DeWunUnOnly They most certainly can be used for hunting in a few states.

Being able to hunt with something is irrelevant to firearm ownership.

  • @DeWunUnOnly if your faster than the deer then yes it can. You could also throw the rifle.

  • @DeWunUnOnly Do you feel that guns should only be owned for hunting?

  • @AmyLeesPetWookiee No. I for myself own a hunting rifle.

  • @DeWunUnOnly He has an AR-15, which is a semi-automatic civilian version of the military M4 and M16 rifles. They are currently completely legal depending on your local and state laws. There are states that are bastions of communism with tons of bans and laws in place regarding that type of firearm and others - so that only the criminals can have them.

  • @DeWunUnOnly We live in america and we can have guns.

  • nice guns nice bayonet

  • its a good knife but it could stand to be 2 or inches longer to be a more effective bayonet

  • its awsome only cause the stole it from the russins

  • I prefer the AKIMBO attachment rather than the tactical knife.

Its wayyy easy to kill people + steady aim pro helps alot

  • @AKakaAKAZING i HATE you

  • @MrFerretlover

    why?

  • @AKakaAKAZING cause u play ****** ******* 2

  • @AKakaAKAZING COD nerd

  • nice weapons

  • are you from sweden?

  • 2:44

I like how the tacticool crowd don't like bayonets, but will attach all kinds of other trinkets on their rifle. the bayonet is one of the most effective weapon attachments there is.

  • @thephilchannel

    I am with you 100% there !!

  • @GearBuyersGuide The bayonet accounted for less than 1% of casualties even back during the American Civil War, and its' effectiveness decreased even further since then. I'd stick to my pistol and red dot sight and keep my bayonet in my boot :P.

  • @ryosukekaneshiro

go ahead, I'll keep the bayos

  • @thephilchannel Never runs out of bullets and requires real physical skill to use.... yeah tacticool won't like it.

  • hey cool video exelent lol

  • you like to use word ,,devastating'' a lot dont ya? :)) great vid thanks!!!

  • @lexousa

You don't save any money using just the lame words..

  • @GearBuyersGuide true... just bought new M9 20 minutes ago :) very exited!!!

  • very nice ...I love it ..but it's illegal in my cuontry, I live in Sweeden.. too bad

  • so if you get out of shells on the gunrange you run up to the target and stab it with the bayonet? just kidding. but it looks like its a good knife.

  • hey could you explain how to you the wire cutter

  • Thanks ill look into it.

  • What kinda flashilght mount is that on your AR-15 i want one like that for my AR :)

  • @ipwnunoob249

I think it is a LaRue, but I now the rifle is a Paul Howe CSAT, so check the stats on that rifle and you'll find the make / model of that mount

  • good review. Does any modern day army still use bayonettes? they seem kinda... old fasion, like sword fighting!

  • Great video. Thank you

  • Mossburgs suck. all about remmeys

  • I'll never understand why more soldiers don't fix their bayonets more often. Such a useful tool.

  • You don't want that in you...

  • I always thought that it was made in Ontario. Apparently it's not.

  • Shotgun + Bayonet = WIN

  • is the ar-15 shown with a 14.5 inch barrel?

  • @jimisvoodoochild im gonna say so because most ARs are 16 in barrel which would mean more barrel over the bayonet

  • its a file for steel not wood!

  • "And they stole that from the Russians" lol that was pretty funny

  • sorry, cant help ya there bud :(

  • Hey Im looking to get the barrel of my Mossberg 590 ported like the one in this video. Does anyone have a place that they can recommend? Any advice appreciated

  • yea just go to mossbergs website and go to accessories this barrel comes with all 590a1 it is a thicker ported barrel

  • And I dont know if this will help, but I have a 1/1 scale "real steel" AR15 style airsoft rifle, and it fits pretty good on that. It does have a little bit of play, and it dosnt fit really snug, but it's rele secure, and absolutely wont come off unless you pinch the levers on the bayonet.

    Hope that helped :)

  • Oh and to answer your question gravity5, you just clip it onto the nylon weaves like you would on a regular belt. I have a MOLLE body armor that I tried this with, though personally I find it easier to reach when clipped onto a belt.

  • Hello all :) I just recently purchased a black M9 bayonet (ontario) and it came with a newer style grip/handle, and I like the older style better so if anybody is cool with a trade or would like to sell me an older style grip/handle (in great condition) then feel free to drop me a message. Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

  • how does it attach to molle gear? and how secure is its attachment to the shotgun and m-16/ar-15? lastly, how is its anti corrosion properties?

  • these are hunks of junk ive owned one for years but they do a good job on the rifle and for wire cutting!

  • would you prefer the m9 bayo or the ka bar?

  • well they are different, so I would want both..

but if I had to choose, I take a Ka-Bar

  • ok. ka bar seems to be the better option since ive heard about how prone the M9's are to snapping. do you prefer the modern ka bar versions with the rubber grip or the classic ones with the leather washers?

  • well I would take either, but I would vote for classic leather

  • @GearBuyersGuide how much do they cost

  • @RockApe92 ,why do you think al the hammers have these rubber like grips nowadays.

go for the Kraton grip,it has no problems with water, unlike the leather grip.but if you really like the leather ,you gotta take that but for practical and effective good grip i would prefer the kraton version

  • @RockApe92 m9 doesnt snap as easily - its 20% thicker than the KA-BAR

  • @Cypherfall could just be down to the materials though. military cutbacks and all that

  • @RockApe92 probably - except the military doesnt produce their own gear, that's what private contractors are for.

  • @Cypherfall yes and the contractor that can offer the military the lowest price will get the deal. its sickening but its just the way it is

  • i would like to get one but they are preaty exspensive so i think i'm going to go with an m7 for now

  • Is their any way that i could put a bayonet lug on a gun that dosen't have one? I've been looking for a way to put a bayonet on mossberg 500 (that dosen't involve duct tape)

  • anything is possible, but not real easily

Some popular models have aftermarket options

  • @StevenPunisher1976

see if you cant get one customized

  • My highschool buddy had a Buckmaster, which this knife is based on. The Buckmaster had removable prongs you could screw into the handguard so you could use the knife as a grappling hook. Ridiculous, I know, but it seemed so cool to us when we were teenagers.

  • What version do you of the m9 do you have Ontario or what.

  • very good video showing a very good knife!!!

  • dude just get a wakizashi

    lol

  • I think that you got a ripoff of the M-9. I have seen it cut wire with no problem.

  • great review!

  • you can get one for free by joing the airforce.

  • good answer

  • where did u get the knife and how much was it?

  • this one comes with a Mossberg Shotgun as an accessory

  • @MrSumguy08 you can get the knife of Ontario's site for about 100 dollars

  • i could see that being very affective for riot control!!

  • aim for the intestines where theres no bone, stab, twist and pull out. if he gets up, knock him down stab again but stamp your foot on his chest hopefully splintering the ribs and use your foot to pull it out. if he still gets up after that-----you run!

  • Whats the price on that mate, where can i get it online?

  • Not sure it ships with the shotgun..

  • @marlin187 the standard cost of a brand new M9 is around 100 dollars, you can find it on ebay for about 70-80$

  • Thanks a lot mate.

  • Thanks for doing this video you dont see much about bayonets

  • thanks, we will certainly do something to change that .. stay tuned ...
