Mark Jansens is a great musician and his grunts are usually very strong, deep and good. But this time, i think, he had a bad day.

@CravenoConnor I think it is mostly related to the sound quality. The grave sounds are not good nor being captured properly in this show. You can notice that by the drums and how low and supressed the guitars are. Specially if you have sub-woofer speakers, you will notice that they barely move in this video, and you can't hear the bass. Simone's voice and the keyboards are not very affected, but all the rest is.

Yeah, you're probably right...somebody else pointed that out too and I think I was getting the Molson Amphitheatre gig mixed up with the one at the Opera House...too many shows, too few brain cells and it all becomes one big gig after a while... They all kicked my ass, including Epica!

I saw these guys live at the Opera House in Toronto a couple of years ago and they kicked my ass!! Trivium and Symphony X played too.. killer, killer show. You can't compare a real live show/experience to a two-dimensional screen t to a live performance no matter how good your speakers are...they all sounded incredible and performed incredibly.

To be honest you cant trully compare studio to live since the studio is enviromentally controlled or should be and the ability to redo takes and mix tracks. The live version is far harder since the weather humidity and many other factors you can control in the studio are uncontrollable live. Rarely have i heard live that sounded like studio imo you get far more emotion live then studio so to me its better.

Davey Havok has such a unique voice it sounds exactly the same live as on cd.

There are so many bands that sound nothing like the album. I think Slipknot and Korn sound nothing alike live, like on their albums.

She´s good live. There aren´t many singers who sound live better than in studio. Just Roy Khan from kamelot sounds greater live than in the studio (In my opinion). And don´t forget the sound ingenieur here...he did a terrible job...

It means that you understand nothing in singing. Firstly, it's extremely difficult to sing live, especially if it's not a slow lyrical but a crazy exciting song like that)) besides, could you sing at all after such mad headbanging?=)) and then, despite all this she sang amazingly. Of course, with some mistakes, but don't you force her to sing live the same perfect as in the studio? Not only is it impossible, but it's also unnecessary (at a concert, I mean). I'm sure her singing was AWESOME!))

She's unprofessional in that point. And you're the one who sounds as dont understand nothing about singing. First off in slow singing your voice must sound perfect and you must make use of many diff techniques, in exciting songs like that, you just sing with emotion and give your best, she's not giving her best...
