i just get pissed because the year hamilton hit 26 or whatever in the first round morneau won and no one gives him any credit for winning that home run derby all they talk about is hamilton's 26 and i know that ya thats a lot in the first round but lets say a team scores 12 runs in the first inning but the other team comes back and hits a walk off in the bottom of the ninth, it didnt matter that they scored those 12 runs because they still lost

I went to the Abreu homerun derby in Detroit. It was a pretty cool event. Even if it isn't super interesting all the time, it's a tradition in the MLB.

I love the home run derby, its fun to watch and extremely exciting. I think that Jose Bautista might pump some steroids into a couple balls, and let 'em fly, so it could be interesting. Gonzo is definitely going to put some sort of show on, Cano will probably do great, Ortiz is good, it just looks great! Only thing thats missing is Ichiro, I've always wanted to see him in a HR Derby, he could probably win the whole damn thing!

If you are trying to bash Cano, which I don't think you are, he is an amazing ballplayer, and arguably the best second baseman. I think Cabrera will do well, but I could see where Ortiz would choose Robbie.
