G1,even though it has errors but not season 3 and 4(with the exception of galvatron and cyclonus)

beast wars, unfortunately only 1dvd was ever made on region 2

Even though I like G1, I would have to agree with you. Bad episodes, a lot of animation errors, and season three going down hill (G1 should have ended after the movie.). But there is one other problem that you forgot to mention. Way to many characters. Most of these characters don't stay on the show for to long, and some of them just appear and disappear with no explanation. Its like the old saying, "Less is more".

America is mostly to blame for that. Energon/Super Link Megatron is SUPPOSED to be Galvatron, but the dubbers jumped the gun and called his white Armada version Galvy, so they went back to Megs for Energon. In RiD and Cybertron, though...yeah, the Japanese did it too.

It's called the "To Sell Toys" effect. Hasbro/Takara make more money with the more of a mold they can sell. But you can't sell the same toy twice...unless it's painted differently. But people are less likely to buy it if it's not featured in the show in some super powerful awesome way.

Oh, and if I may add something, Starscream whined a lot in G1...which made him slightly annoying.

If anything, G1 Soundwave makes a better second-in-command, because his voice may be monotone and his form may be dated(no one uses cassettes anymore), but at least he doesn't whine, plus in one post-movie episode, they forgot to add in the Vocoder effect, so we heard Frank Welker's Dr. Claw voice, which makes Welker even MORE FTW. XD

G1 wasn't the first TF continuity I ever saw but it is my favourite, because of the characters (specifically Megatron, Soundwave, Starscream, Optimus Prime etc) and some top-notch voice acting. I find Beast Wars fans very irritating 'cos, while I like BW, they constantly shove "BW is the best TF series! Accept it! There is no other possibility!" down your throat. BW was good but it sure had it's flaws too - Rattrap springs to mind. Easily the single most annoying character in TF.

Believe me, G1 is a very good show, but I don't like how people bash every other Transformers series and only say this is the only true Transformers series.
