I like when men can hit very high note, but I don't really like the fact that their voices don't really sound masculine anymore. I LOVE Michael Buble's G#4 more than most of the other notes. Men can usually sound like men up to C#5.

I challenged my choirteacher to hit Barrys G1, and he did it just like that! At his best times he could go as low as E1 (wich is compleatly amazing), but his top notes were only about D4. My own range is within B1-C5, and I´m darn proud of it.
Of corse you may have the talent, just not the high notes. Talented singing does not equal a wide range, but what you´re able to do with the range you got.
Still, a low voicepitch doesn´t meen that you won´t be able to work out a wider range. Ex Freddie Mercury were actually a medium/low baritone, but were still able to reach F5 in "All gods people" ("innuendo" 1991, track 7).
