practice practice practice. it'll hurt at first but your thumb will strengthen. you're not a guitarist till you've had blisters on ALL your fingers =P
Hey, could you break down the very first part of the video for me, the very first riff. What's making that sound after the pluck right after the flick\pick?
I got the chords from John Mayer's VH1 video, and learned flick-picking from Noah Needleman's tutorial video. the chord is D-Bm-F#m-G-D/F#-A repeating and chorus is A-D-G x3 , D/F#-G-D/F#-A

How big is your geetar at the twelfth fret? Mine is 2 & 1\8th inches, I think I might need a new guitar to play over the neck songs.

first of all.. my hands r reallllllly tiny
i have short, fat fingers... so i could play, nebody can play. 2nd question, u have to tune every string down a half step, so Eb, Ab, Db, etc
