  • stupid game, chinese invent 0 machine and propose almost 0 formula, the game is silly.

  • still sooo confused

    XD

  • im still a little confused i better rewatch this video and to the people who said the tiles are thin in the description she says its a TRAVEL SET which means there smaller

  • im still a little confused i better rewatch this video

  • I like this version of playing better. The instructions that came with my game were shit and had way more steps..

  • Mahjong was never so funny... until now...XD

  • "Bamboo... Dots..."

    Me: NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

  • u r doing it wrong

  • i know how to play and u guys are kinda playing right cuz when u mix it it is supposed 2 b faced down and not each player roles the die plus i am chinese so i know how 2 play but i was born here

  • i tried listening to this. it got annoying. i felt like i was watching little kids or being treated by one.

  • I thought that you had to get 18 not 19. And aren't supposed have a table. This is very different..... nvm

  • FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU-

  • You guys are the cutest things in the history of the world! :)

  • i'm mad i'll flip the mah jong table and nobody will play!

  • Little tidbit of information: the three suits are all based on chinese coins.

The dots represent single coins, the bamboo are strings of 100 coins, and the characters represent one hundred strings. Characters are also known as tonnes, for example 4 of characters is "40 tonne".

  • @MattTheSpratt Bit of a mistake on my part, they aren't known as tonnes. I was watching the mahjong scene from Killer7, and one of the players says "Hey, that's a furi ten! You cheated!"

    I heard forty tonne. <_>

  • i think the chinese title is very diff

  • No you yell "HU LE!!!"

  • Educational and extremely entertaining! Thank you!

  • Four American girls playing an Asian game.. Why can't more girls be like you?!

  • your like nigahiga....

  • this is a very good and basic video tutorial!

    nice one :)

  • you gals are good !

  • i play with fatter tiles

  • I like when the tiles are a little... fat

  • Tiles are a little thin.

  • so what exactly is a tsumo, and yakuman? Nice explanation though, I understand the game a little better now ;)

  • Hehe, well, the game that they are playing is Chinese MahJong. "Tsumo" and "Yakuman" are part of the Japanese Mahjong, A.K.A Riichi mahjong. You can find the rules on the internet ! :)

    P.S.:

Tsumo is when you win by picking a tile from the wall.

Yakuman is when your Hand Points are over a certain amount ... :)

To get more details, you can read the complete rules on the Internet...

    Hope this helps ! :)

  • tsumo is self drawn win.

  • Thanks or the video was very fun and helpful.

  • dont get it, why would you call out a concealed set? That would just give the other players more info about your hand and also locks your hand up... Why not call out all the concealed sets at the end? That rule is just stupid.

  • I think they're playing by some kind of simplified rules.. I dunno never heard of that either ^^

  • great job girls!

  • I love how some of you dumb asses insult another culture (japan) the "cards" you idiot is just an easier way to play mahjong during travel

  • japanese mahjong all the way

  • American mahjong? I prefer Japanese, A.K.A, riichi rules.

oh, and you do realize that when you are choosing where to start, u start at the RIGHT end of the wall, and count the opposite direction you were counting to choose the original break....You started at the left.... or is it different in American mahjong?

  • can you please use tiles and not these shit cards?

  • i think these are thin tiles

  • This is some weird version of the game ;o

The original isn't played like this.

  • by the dragon tile design it is american mahjong

  • Well, that just bad. ;(

  • Loved your videos, girls! It helped me to understand how to play this game. I just discovered Mahjong Titans on my PC, hahaha! Thank you!

  • what do you do when you steal someones kong or pong?

i heard that in another video.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but the thing about the "concealed hand" at the end is ... umm ... wrong? I thought a concealed hand was getting all the tiles you needed to win from the wall. Winning tile doesn't matter if self picked or not.

  • this is actually really good. thanks!

  • That was quite helpful. Thank you very much. It was informative and easy to remember.

    Sincerely, -Ricky424242

  • Hey r u guys from San Dimas?

  • Hi, Thanks for the learn to play Mahjong video. It's the best one posted. I'm playing my first game of Mahjong tomorrow and I had no clue how to play. Now I do - Thanks!

  • You look beautiful

  • XD 7:01/7:04 was hillarious dancing

  • Yeh! I like it

  • chinese rules, gaaaaay

  • chinese doesnt have the dead wall... in the video they called it the flower wall... only hong kong and other versions of Mah Jong have that wall

  • very nice video.... maria very beautiful.

  • there call cards

  • i love u guys!!!!!!!!!!

    lol

    its zach btw lol

  • very drama =.=

  • Reach mahjong is superior, since all hands don't have to be honitsu (one suit). You can do sanshoku (3-suit straight), daisangen (big 3 dragons), toitoi (7 pair), Kokusho Musou (13 orphans), dai suushi (big 4 winds), all ends in sets (chanta), no ends in sets (tanyao), etc. You can also go out on opponent's discards and steal discarded tiles so they have to be mindful of what tiles they play. Much more elaborate, but it adds a ton of strategy and depth to the game.

  • WHen you divide the mahjong tiles the way you described it the four tiles at first then three sets of two then one at the end that's only 11. You need thirteen

  • Bah ha ha. xD I remember that book, though I forget what we did for our project...

    This made me giggle. x3

  • Weird tiles.

  • They are usually blocks :]

  • wow! i love this video

    ThankS

  • when you were setting up the wall its 18 not 19. i have been playing since i was 7.

  • I heard it was 18 too, there are 144 tiles right?

    Playing since 7? Very impressive!

  • thank you so much, u girls are cool ^^

  • Thanks ^^ I've been trying to learn how to play for a while now and seeing your video has made allowed the rules and such to make a lot more sense.

  • nice. but some mistakes i saw lol..

  • Hi ladies, greetings from Singapore. Think u did a great job in explaining a difficult and complicated chinese game. But think you guys should really invest a real plastic or ivory made mahjong tiles. Trust me, the feelings is very different. :p
