if you guys are only fifteen and blame society for being dumb. please... just please and dont become as everyone else and try to make world livable place instead of writing that...
nowdays u dont see this kind of ladies , u only see bitches everywhere , money whores , on tv , on cinema , every where , come to thinks that some of stars u see on tv are just stars becouse they have big breasts... pathetic , what is this society turning in ?
What has happened to the world, what has happened to class and sophistication, manners and being respectful to other people, I look around at all the other people my age who are out drinking, taking drugs and being downright horrible to others, and it makes me sick to think I belong to this generation when I have the utmost respect to others, i mean its not hard to just have a little respect.
Why are all these people say "lolz im 15 and im listening to audrey hepburn im so unique and smart derderderp"? You don't deserve an award for listening to music and watching movies. I see this on almost every video of older music and movies, it's getting so annoying. You weren't born in the wrong era, you were born in this generation to keep Audrey's memory alive.
born in the wrong generation.. :/ im fifteen, and audry is defenetly my absolute favorite actree, and idol at the same time.. Thanks to my mother for showing me My fair lady.. :) i love her so much!
to or admire the things you do? Because people always think their preference/opinion is the right one. Otherwise, you wouldn't feel the need to write those comments, and thumb those same comments up.
their films. I highly presume if they weren't portrayed as glamorous, and had been unnattractive, you wouldn't idolize them, or making them someone you look up to. Sure, you could fall back on their talent abilities. But what makes you think Audrey Hepburns acting abilities is much more exceptional than Niki Minaj's musical abilities? It all comes down to preference, which is why I'm appalld at elizabeth1488's comment and the fact it has over 200+ thumbs up. Why should someone have to look up
group, and or above, just because of who you idolize, and who in your opinion, is the better role model. The ONLY reason Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, or Rita Hayworth would be considered the better role model is because in their time, they weren't stalked by the paparazzi as often as nowadays, who showcases their lives 24/7.If they had been, you'd have seen them act less classy or "perfect", and more realistic. You're in love with the "dream" of who they are or who they were portraying in
All of you young females who choose to idolize over Audrey Hepburn are really foolling yourselves. You all choose to look up to Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe because everyone else who does claims they're so classy, and too good for someone who looks up to Niki Minaj. I don't know why in the hell one has to write "I'm 9 and I look up to Audrey Hepburn" What does that mean? We all have someone we look up to, but by writing your age, you're implying that you're better than everyone in your age-
I never said that people who listen to music with concepts of sex and money and such make them ones who enjoy meaningless sex and money. I did not judge anybody who listens to songs like these. I said I wish more girls listened to THIS kind of music instead of THAT kind of music. I'm speaking my opinion and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I said I think it's great that Audrey is such a great role model for girls, especially this day in age. I'm tired of "arguing." Have a nice day
@elizabeth1488 You may have never said that, but it was certainly implied. Why would it matter what music one listens to when it doen't effect the majority of anything? How could you even wish for people to listen to one type of music over the other? When in all reality, it wouldn't make a difference. It's just music, we all have our preferences, but it doesn't change who we are. There's so many things wrong with your post, and yet it has over 200 thumbs up. Mindless people.
I'm 15 as well and I love this and I love the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's, Love in the Afternoon, and Roman Holiday. Audrey Hepburn was a gorgeous woman and great actress.
Mein Gott sie ist jetzt schon über 18 Jahre tot und lebt doch in unseren Herzen immer weiter. Sie war einfach eine tolle Schauspielerin die taper ihre Krankheit trug.
I wish I was born in another era. What has happpened to the world? Class and politeness, self-respect has become so scarce, when we see it, I'm almost in tears.
@AyokiKusano When I was little my mum always told me I was newly old. Grown up I found out what she was meaning with it... I still am polite and try to have self respect and class. When I open the door for someone though they look at me like I was an alien, but still the thank you comes by reflex it seems
@AyokiKusano You wish you were born during their era>? You think by going back to time and see her makes your life better than now? Plus I dont think you can see her, i guess you will be force by the goverment and join the war and die as HERO hahahaha....
@AyokiKusano I dont think even their era, politeness and self respect existed abundantly... There's war here and there... You call it self respect? And maybe the crime rate is high too... since the television and internet are not so abundant long time ago which makes it a bit peaceful since not all will know what's really going on...
I understand why some people here "educate" others that Hepburn is worthy to look up to and embodies the picture of a beautiful woman in many ways, but seriously, stop educating other people who they should look up to etc.
They will only end up looking up to Jersey shore stuff (as mentioned in the comment above).
Audrey Hepburn didn't follow any picture or how a woman should be. So if you appreciate her view then educate love and self-awareness and NOT "look up to her" etc. That's crap.
Henry Mancini's music is wonderful and Moonriver is a classic.Thumbs Up !!!..Cheers,Marc Jones..Los Angeles,U.S.A.(Australian vocalist-pop/jazz/originals)
Now really, who could ever prefer to dress and behave like Miley Cyrus and Britney instead of doing it like Audrey Hepburn? Some girls must reavaluate their "role models".
I love Audrey and I love reading, listening to classical music and watching old movies. I don't look up to Nicki Minaj, or to Britney Spears, or to whoever is the current star nowadays. BUT that doesn't make me any better than people who do. Just because people don't like the same things you do, doesn't make them worse.
I'm 15 and I love Audrey Hepburn, I love all her movies from funny face to Breakfast at tiffany's,
It was my aunt who showed me one of her movies and I loved them from start to finish. She is a truly fantastic actress and has a beautiful singing voice. =-)
@Deadeye517 your 15? im 24.....you don't give a fuck how old I am do ya? Same way the world feels about your age. Sick and tired of you dipshits looking for credit for being kids and "liking" music. So very fucking ridiculous. giving you a thumbs down; "opposite of what you were looking for by saying your 14."
@silverado669 I meant no offence to anyone. I was only saying how much I like Audrey Hepburn because she is an amazing actress also what is the point of trying to make a comment made by a fan into a battle of age by insulting the intelligence of some-one (whom you haven't met) online all because of how old they are? Furthermore can you please watch your language because what you said was uncalled for and unnecessarily violent. People like you who believe in stereotypes sicken me.
Bir filmde gormuştum. Adamın teki breakfast at Tiffany's deki soundtract i uyumadan son bit saatte yıllardır dinliyordu. Gercekten de yıllarca dinlenebilir.
Few people know, outside of the studio, that Audrey Hepburn had played short parts,in movies like "Salt". She was the short Evelyn Salt that went into the White House to stop an assassination and the start of a third great war. She was a MOST REMARKABLE actress. There were two Audrey's but she was the BEST. She was also the short Ashley Judd...being about five foot one with dark brown eyes and bronze skin. She died in 1993 from cancer. Salt was released long after she died.
I saw a special for this lady on one of the movie channels? I had no idea that she was such a kind and loving lady? Feeding starving children and stuff. Super nice woman.
I'm 19 and I'm absolutely in love with Audrey. Why can't other girls my age look up to people like her instead of Nicki Minaj? Or why can't they listen to songs like these instead of rap and hip hop and songs about money, one-night-stands, and sex. Compare this with Jersey Shore --literally makes me nauseas.
@elizabeth1488 Thankgoodness we have women like Keira Knightley, Liv Tyler, etc, today who are classy and beautiful without being slutty. No one can compare to Audrey though. : )
Hi, I am 41 and Audrey is a little before my time, but I love her too. If you can, you need to see 'My Fair Lady' . Also if it suites you Nat King Cole is my vocal angelic hero. Do a search for Nature Boy - excellent lyrics. Nothing like what we hear today.
@sharpnova2 how am i an extremely negative minded idiot?? i didn't know expressing my opinion makes me an idiot and my comment was in no way extremely negative. i think teens today would be much better off if they had icons like audrey to look up to and not some white trash hoodlums or what not. have a nice day.
@elizabeth1488 It's because many young people nowadays get taught from a young age that everything needs to be done fast, and everything that was done yesterday is old now.
In my opinion, 80% or more of all music after 1980 is or will be forgotten. Many people don't even remember music from 2005. Music from the 40's to about 1980 (when, IMHO, the real flashy disco-like styles started) will be remembered forever. You'll still hear this music when you've become 80... so it's good you like it :)
agreed. i turn 15 soon but just because i love this and other classic, killer music from before this generation doesnt mean im gonna cast out everything from the 21st century...i dont listen to shit if thats what ur thinking...i listen to good contemporary stuff....the killers :) my heart and soul...best band ever and im sick of everyone thinking that theres only two kinds of music..music that rocks from before now...and music that sucks shit from this time. widen ur heart scope
Honey, because people have lost it! Life is not as romantic and natural as it was years before. I am also very young, but Idon´t like the current generation artists. I don´t like the current way of living and dealing with each other.
A lot of artists get famouse nowadays only because of their appearance (thin, tons of make-up, almost naked dressed).
@elizabeth1488 oh my god. Im fifteen and I agree with you so much. People had so much more class and morality during the 40's and 50's and 60's, nowdays girls are parading around in the most revealing clothing they can find, just like celebrities such as Rihanna. Music today is also such a bad influence, not all of it, but when there is a love song, it tends to talk about sex, not courtship, holding hands or anything romantic. Audrey Hepburn is an amazing role model and should be acknowledged.
@elizabeth1488 I actually think we're really lucky to live in a time when so many styles are appreciated. You can listen to, dress like, and emulate Audrey and no one will criticize you. At least not here in L.A. :)
@elizabeth Why do other girls have to look up to people like her? Because if they don't then they're not classy, or intelligent? Also, I didn't know that listening to a certain type of music made you fall into a certain category; and it doesn't. You're insinuating that just because you prefer THIS type of music, so should everyone else? Everyone has their own preferences, and by listening to what YOU think is good music, doesn't make you any BETTER than someone who listens to rap or hip hop.
@JelloJenni Jenni, you're putting words in my mouth that I never said. I said that most songs you hear these days are about meaningless sex and the sort. That is not my opinion, that's the TRUTH. I don't care the "genre" you listen to. It could be rap, rock and roll, hip hop, indie...I've heard Death Cabs song- "she is beautiful, but she don't mean a thing to me"...or Eminem's "...and you ain't gonna wanna fuck nobody else again." Audrey was an amazing role model and one beautiful, classy woman.
@elizabeth-NO, I did not put words in your mouth. Just because the songs itself are about meaningless sex, it doesn't mean the people who listen to them are going about having meaningless sex. Have you ever thought that MAYBE they like the beats and tunes of the songs? You're being irrelivant, I don't care what you listen to, the fact is that you even have the nerve to say "Why can't other people listen to this-or-that music" when in reality, the music you listen to doesn't make you who you are.
@JelloJenni elizabeth1488 didn't say that people who don't like this sort of music, she said the lyrics are a bit meaningless these days and that Audrey Hepburn was just so pure. Just let her look up to her idol in peace :)
Brings back great memories. She was great with George Peppard in that movie. Then there was her fine dancing in Funny Face or the thriller movie that she was a blind person in and another ... ;-)

21scuderia 5 months ago
@elizabeth1488 oh my god. Im fifteen and I agree with you so much. People had so much more class and morality during the 40's and 50's and 60's, nowdays girls are parading around in the most revealing clothing they can find, just like celebrities such as Rihanna. Music today is also such a bad influence, not all of it, but when there is a love song, it tends to talk about sex, not courtship, holding hands or anything romantic. Audrey Hepburn is an amazing role model and should be acknowledged.
theternalrose 5 months ago

JelloJenni 5 months ago 2
@JelloJenni Jenni, you're putting words in my mouth that I never said. I said that most songs you hear these days are about meaningless sex and the sort. That is not my opinion, that's the TRUTH. I don't care the "genre" you listen to. It could be rap, rock and roll, hip hop, indie...I've heard Death Cabs song- "she is beautiful, but she don't mean a thing to me"...or Eminem's "...and you ain't gonna wanna fuck nobody else again." Audrey was an amazing role model and one beautiful, classy woman.
elizabeth1488 5 months ago
@elizabeth-NO, I did not put words in your mouth. Just because the songs itself are about meaningless sex, it doesn't mean the people who listen to them are going about having meaningless sex. Have you ever thought that MAYBE they like the beats and tunes of the songs? You're being irrelivant, I don't care what you listen to, the fact is that you even have the nerve to say "Why can't other people listen to this-or-that music" when in reality, the music you listen to doesn't make you who you are.
JelloJenni 5 months ago
@JelloJenni elizabeth1488 didn't say that people who don't like this sort of music, she said the lyrics are a bit meaningless these days and that Audrey Hepburn was just so pure. Just let her look up to her idol in peace :)
