Ive been a Fan since 94' Ive bought your Albums, been to your Shows, Thanks Dilla for the Soundtrack to my Life, Underground Real Hiphop Forever!! Shame on Commercial Radio, for not playing his Music. The Underground Headz always knew you were Legend!!! RIP Miss ya.. =)
There is not NEARLY enough artists in this tribute
Where Tribe? Where's Pharcyde? This is nice but it really doesn't catch the enormity of the volume of his work, not to mention the variety and originality.
The greatest producer of all time. He put his music in front of his life, and you can tell that by the reputation he got. every hip hop soul in the world got a cd or a joint from Jay Dee, his legacy will never be forgotten. We miss you Dilla! Truly a legend! RIP
Here is man that didnt get the credit he deserved when alive in the physical, but at least he's getting it now. His story just teaches me to do what you enjoy in life, because it is WAY to short.
yea there are some great producers out there, but cmon. the love that dilla has shown hip hop is immeasurable. dilla wasnt only a great producer. he was also a source of inspiration
I beatbox, and I realize that Jay Dee made beats that were way better than mine. This was his life. This IS his life. Jay Dee will never be forgotton.
I've hated most of today's hip-hop (Except Common,Talib Kwali,The Roots,Kanye West and others that don't rap only about money and whores) until I saw people say RIP Jay Dee or J.Dilla on Myspace I looked for one of his songs and I heard "Two can win" I was hooked.
RIP Jay Dee and Thanks for changing my view of Hip-hop
kanye is talented along with rza, black milk, premo pete rock etc -but lets celebrate dilla yo - stakes is high (da la soul) is my favorite joint by him
dont cheat yourself out of hearing Little Brother and the entire STONES THROW crew. Dilla was wonderful, but there are SO many producers out there doing just as nice work.
