I kinda know where @ignoranttwat came from, but I'm not totally agree with him. I mean it's always good to discover a new music intuitively, a revelation. I am Indonesian, and I stumbled upon this beautiful music through Chamaeleon Church (which is one of the band that I like) related videos. But this too, among many other ways, is the most common way to discover a new music. Intuition is a fancy word. Not everybody can be as intuitive and as resourceful as you, ignorant twat.
This song has quite some unique melancholy in it... I feel it is like finding shelter in the peaceful-perfect wisdom of nature, when turning back to it after a period or a situation of desolation in the modern civilized world. No wonder artists that write songs with titles like Nature's Uplifting Revenge dig this so much (Prefuse 73).
I really don't understand what the hell SamsonMan 4 is saying, I saw this artist in an advert in one of those wanky free zines you get at the record store, what does that make me I wonder? I think your the mother fucking troll mate, wanker!
This song was used as the title song for the Vince Edward's tv show called MATT LINCOLN ---it was his next show after BEN CASEY-- where he played a doctor. In this one , he played a shrink. ----possibly late 1960's .
soooooooooooulcrusshh .. -_- me here thinking I found a jewel of an artist I was even about to flip this shit . . come to find out everyone and they mamas heard it thru FlyLo hahaha. tho it don't surprise me he'd listen to this. he did that shit with Mai Doi Todd too. damn I wish I was friends with him haha. we'd have the dopest smoke sessions bumpin the best music.

If anyone listens to an artist because another artist they like listens to them, they should die. The same goes for listening to an artist/song because you heard it in a film/on television.
@ignoranttwat you're an idiot. of all the ways in the world to discover music, hearing a song or an artist from a tv show or on another artists track is one of them. You find things how you find things. we dont all come out of the womb knowing what artists we like, dipshit.
No, no, it is the basest way to discover music. If you don't know that something exists intuitively, I think that you should just leave it alone, and in the event that you don't, I am VERY surprised that it hasn't been made punishable by the full extent of the law.
@ignoranttwat lol what are you a fucking hipster or something? I found this because it was sampled in a hip hop track. doesn't mean i don't enjoy the song
This is one of my fave songs on this record, though every single song is great. It makes me yearn for the days when every song on an album was worthwhile, not one or two you have to skip over to listen to. I wish I had been alive in 1970!!!
Therefore all I have in my house is an old record player with tons of records... You can just put that on and play every song... Even the "bad" songs are listenable
Carnivals are a perfect metaphor for disenchantment. I think what she means by cages is that the past is defined by memories that cluster around specific objects.
