Cool, but how far where you from the dog? Cause I can use a sh*t camera and I did get depth of field when I backed from the actor very far away and zoomed and then adjusted the focus
@007s00s It's not just about the depth of field. You can't use a shit camera and get an image with so little noise. If you used a shit camera, there would be a lot of digital noise.
I have 50mm 1.4 and 85mm 1.8, both are great. Now depends on what you shooting...
if you shoot potrait a lot and you want your model more comfortable (not too close) then go with 85mm.
But if you want shoot potrait (you don't mind getting closer with your model) and other stuff (product/food photography) then 50mm 1.4 is the best you can go.

Its 85mm but its actually shot at something like 100mm or 110mm because of the crop frame that why I thought 5D is the way forward.
