Since Mr. Pennington's crew usually sticks the family he "helps" with a gargantuan portion of the loan used to finance the construction, Debbie probably couldn't afford to pay it off. WHY THE FUCK DO YOU THINK THEY'RE LIVING IN SUCH A BAD HOUSE IN THE FIRST PLACE, TY?! WHY?! BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO MONEY!!! SO WHY BUILD THEM A GIGANTIC HOUSE AND EXPECT THEM TO PAY FOR IT?!

Ty is most certianly an asshole. He builds a totally broke family a huge mansion of a house, then expects them to pay for it. Their most recent house required a $5 MILLION loan. And he leaves the mortgage payments up to the dirt poor family. Bastard.

@twotailedavenger the show pays for the construction of the house. it's the maintenance of the house that the family can't afford. the show isn't dumb enough to make a dirt-poor family pay for the thing. They have to pay to heat it, cool it, clean it, etc. and if they couldnt afford to do that with the old house, they obviously can't afford to do it with the newer, bigger house. that is why they couldn't keep it.
