The blue headed pionus swinging on the vine are quite acrobatic! I'm impressed with how active they are as they mountain climb, eat and interact with each other. What a social club!
I loved seeing the BH's at the Tambopata Clay Lick near the Tambopata Research Center where I did field study for Dr.Don Brightsmith ..notice the macaw that you heard calling at the end of the video
We were working from blinds fairly close, but also had awesome lenses - still lenses on video cameras (this was shot in '92 with a canon L1 and a 100-300 ef canon lens)

How did you get so close? When I was there you couldn't get anywhere near that good a shot even with an awesome lens.
