@randomdude69ful That's awesome! Stick with it dude - it never stops being challenging but it's so worth it to keep it up. If you're looking for good ska check out: Big D and the Kids Table, Mad Caddies, Five Iron Frenzy, Goldfinger, The Hippos, Less Than Jake, Save Ferris, Rx Bandits, Mustard Plug, The Slackers and Suburban Legends. Just to name a few. =)
Then while you're at it listen to Maynard Ferguson and Wynton Marsalis to hear the horn really unleashed. Good luck and have fun!
I play trumpet, and I've always wanted to learn some of Streetlight's songs, but never got around to really doing it. I did look up some tabs but never really practiced them. I can hit all the notes, no problem, I just need to look up the songs and learn them. You're a great trumpet player, keep up the good work!
dude that was amazing. you are really good. i just started playing trumpet and i just got into ska and i've been trying to learn a couple of their songs. are there any sites that are good for finding out how to play them. your an inspiration for me. i hope i can become as good as you some day.
@bo546372810 Wow some really kind words in there, haha. Thanks! You might be able to find some stuff you're looking for at horntabs.net. They're never perfect but it's definitely a good starting point. Good luck with the learning process! It never stops...
@agentroyiv Excellent! I've been playing on a B6-LS1 for about six months now, and I absolutely love it. There is no going back to another mouthpiece after you've had a monette.
this is fucking awesome, good control through everything and one of the best trumpet players Ive seen on youtube, amazing range too, while keeping your sound clean and powerful. nice job man
Sick playing man. No doubt that you got into that band. Tone was grea and you have great control in the high range. When you played the C# before the G# i was like "no he's not".
If you're gonna do another man, do the blonde lead the blind, you have the range to make that sond as good as matt stewart.
insert Fuck yeah comic right at the end. Dude that was amazing. Do you play this by ear or what? I've been playing trumpet for about 6 years now and I've always wanted to play ska. If you have any sites or tips can you tell me?
@leon12234 horntabs.net could give you some fun stuff to play around with. It's not always 100% correct and the notation leaves something to be desired but it could be a great place to start!
that last note made me cream my pants. i played trumpet for 8 years. best instrument ever. i wish i didn't stop playing it, though. i definitely need to pick it back up again.
nice
