Nice video, bit short though. I was wondering what the tool you were using when you first started the rough out. Looked like a steel bar with a cutter on the end? Another tool you used was some sort of then scraper looked like a long ruler? Also have a question about your bandsaw. What model is it. I have been looking to upgrade and the one you have looks like the size I need. Thanks. Jack.
Home-made "oland tool" removes abrasive bark (conserves gouge) You can find plans for the tool online.
The scraper is a recycled high-speed steel planer blade with a negative-rake grind so it won't grab and I don't need a thick body or long handle. A fresh burr will last about 15 seconds, then I re-grind.
The saw is a MiniMax with 16" cutting height. 3tpi carbide tipped lennox blade. (be careful where you buy the blades because the distributor's weld makes a huge difference)
