  • he hit a pebble and lost it lol

  • Hahahahahahahahaha and just to think I was the only one who falls off these things!!!! But no we have a winner lol... Awesome

  • Phew! thank God the rock was OK, LOL

  • SET UP

  • Sugar Mtn, NC... sweet! We have group here in Va (Roanoke area) that's going riding tomorrow after church. If you get up this way be sure to call me and we'll go riding with the group. We have some blazing rides here. Bent Mtn, Callaway Rd., Windy Gap, Rt. 43 and plenty of others depending on your need for speed.

  • Yes. This is Brian. Who is this?

If your deck is cracked and lost its flex then you should definitely get a replacement. It's not safe to ride with one that has gone soft. You might consider a type 4 deck for a stiffer ride. It can handle the bigger riders and survives jumps better.

    Cheers,

    B

  • You don't know me, except I think you sold me that Dirtsurfer back in April. I'd like to ride with you sometime, though. I'm trying to get a 4, because I'm such a big fatty. I'm actually in NC getting ready to Dirtsurf Sugar Mountain in a few minutes.

  • What caused you to crash on the pavement?

  • I'm not sure. I wasn't going very fast, and I had been over that spot before during the day. It was very fast, from riding to instant collapse. There was very soft dirt right up next to the pavement so I might have sunk into it and then hit the pavement edge.

  • Also, I didn't realize this until the next day, but my deck has started to collapse. When I get on it, it bends significantly right at the edge of the front frame which fits under the flexiboard to about 5 inches back from the front of the board and I can easily bottom out the board just by bouncing on it. Also, the brakes had become severely misaligned and may have caught.

  • But no way could it have been anything related to my riding skill, as you can see, I am highly skilled ;) Is this Brian from Virginia?

  • I bet you were sore for days.

  • Not too bad. This was all on Sunday. My left shoulder and hip are a little sore and the back of one hand got tore up a little on that pavement. Not so much that I didn't go back out later that day, and Monday.

  • I see. Well that's good, you didn't hurt yourself too bad. It's funny, I thought you were just making yourself crash like that, just for laughs, but I see you weren't. How silly of me.

  • Aha - I see a theme starting here !! Funny - good work !
