I watched the older wonder woman series when I was a kid, so there's a lot of things that are missing from the "real" wonder woman. I have a feeling that after marvel is finished with their "avengers" that dc is going to take a jump at the justice league. Hope they get the right person for her then.

@nathanangelus iTS NOT about her being fat... just not being the right build. Cartoon/comix, and 70s TV show Wonder woman had big boobs.. or atleast a big push up bra. Here they are kinda pushed up...and apart. We are missing the WONDERcleavage from the old days. I know they are trying to be politically correct with the pants (but they let the boobs hang out?!) but it just didnt sell with hardcore fans.
What didnt work for me was she didnt have Lynda Carter's DREAMY EYES... :(
Beth phoenix would make a better wonder woman, and for the costume , it can be a lot better, lose the pants and have the bust fitted better, it looks like a D trying to fit in a small B cup not very nice looking.

I simply don't like the costume. And the too many changes with the costume actually doesn't make like Wonder Woman anymore. Looks like a different character or superhero. Plus, if they really want to make a comeback for Wonder Woman, then I hope they try to find an actress that somehow has the same charm as Ms Lynda Carter, same figure and beauty. I'm not saying that Andrienne isnt beautiful just not the right role for her.
The actress has acting experience on numerous tv shows, so unless they can find another who can act as well can keep her is good looking enough, don't know why people critical of her looks. Yeah there are some who are better looking but can they act? She isn't perfect but is still beautiful.
Okay the costume has problems, the current one in comic is better, blue better than red and yellow which look like plastic. The video Wonder Woman has died has a better looking costume could check it out, an Amazon not an American does need to look like an American flag, want to syndicate over seas don't they? Xena and Gabrielle also had better looking costumes. However even with this costume I would still watch it unless the plots and acting sucked.
After growing up watching Lynda Carter play WW in the late 70s TV series I can say it would be very difficult to get someone who looked the part as much as she did - plus that costume is REALLY bad. What were they thinking?
The costume does look cheap and 'thrown on'. We're talking about film here, which means they can easily 'stop and adjust' at every point, creating the illusion that people can amazingly fit in incredible costumes (eg. Tomb Raider), where there's no sagging of tops or bottoms. The woman isn't the best looking out there either. Surely they could have found someone more attractive, this isn't a student short film.

Heres a problem they have different fans the comic book fans are now use to her wearing long pants and I think her recent costume in the comics was an improvement over this however they also want her to appeal to fans of the tv show and cartoons where she wore her 1950's to 1980's costume. Lynda Carter wore a dress in one episode as she wore in 1941 comics, and when she went into water a scuba type outfit without the air tank and mask. So she wore various outfits even then.
Yeah it can be a problem how to make it make sense without turning off fans of comic like ironman was originally written as in Vietnam War, but no such armour or technology like that existed back then. Original Human Torch was an android during world war 2, like they really had that technology back then. Wonder Woman was also written as in World War 2 and they combined earth 2 and 1 comic book wonder woman's for tv show. Changes had to be made and yeah sometime it offends the original fans.
Wonder Woman is suppose to be an Amazon not an American so why is she dressed like an America flag with white stars surrounded by blue, I think more recent comics gave her black pants and stars that didn't resemble those on an American flag. They want to market this to a worldwide audience also don't they Bonanza, Little House, etc. were viewed around the world in various countries and languages so why try to only get it to appeal to an American audience?

The problem here is that this costume looks like a Halloween custome, it looks like a cheap Halloween costume!!! Yes, its true to the comic. @AlbertoKennedy2012 She suppose to be based on Greek not Norse mythology so a Spartan or Athenian type armour would make more sense than Norse. Valkyrie and Thor can look norse not wonder woman.
Here's the deal: We all remember growing up with LC as Wonder Woman. So, it is safe to say that no matter what they put on Miss Palicki? She has some mighty big cups to fill not to mention shoes!! Lynda is an Icon. She will always be Wonder Woman. If they are going to get the new show off the ground? It's going to have to be close to the original WW costume. Storm's custom in the X-men movie looks nothing like the one in the cartoon. Wouldn't it be cool if wonder woman can fly? I can't find any videos of that so I made one.
i just don't think this costume would look good on anyone.I really think that they should make lot's of changes to the costume and to those who say that they are sick of the bad comments i can just say that exactly the bad comments make the great costumes because that makes the creators want to make them even better
I like it, and I also think they were smart going with the new leggings. Linda Carter's costume was not that much different, with the exception of the color of her leggings. I think as an artist you have the right to interpret characters the way you want. In the end the people will decide the fate of the show.

@thermiscira if you watch the video clip of her while they are filming, it does seem that she has some hair extensions, and her hair is much darker. I also love that they made the boots 'flat soled' instead of high-heeled. More plausible for running.
I am a huge fan of ww, esp Lynda C, but Adrienne looks beautiful- not a huge fan of the tierra, love Lyndas better. the pants are cool, remember Lyndas ww diving suit? Kind of similar. I just feel it needs more of the patriotic feel - more white stars on blue pants would be cool, but over all she looks great.

Also, you need to keep in mind, that Wonder Woman's costume was not supposed to be 'patriotic". She donned the colors of Diana Trevor. The woman who crash landed on Themiscyra, and died helping the Amazons. (She was also named after her) The costume simply took the red, white, gold, and blue, and turned them into a costume. Out of respect for Diana Trevor.
If this costume is for a movie, then sorry, but it does look cheesy. We pay a fortune to see movies, so they should spend a fortune to make costumes. I think they were trying to mix her old and new looks.

@comicbookartistboi No, I actually don't think her costume was that provocative, and yes, I would rather see the old one than this and I would bust out laughing at anyone trying to pretend to be a super hero because it's fantasy! The costumes are a part of it and when you take them away, it's just dumb. I don't like too many changes to the design of characters when they make movies and shows. That's why I can't stand the G.I. Joe or Transformers movies and I've had it with the X-Men movies.

This outfit not that bad but what they did to Spiderman movie ugh, Green Goblin in comic killed Gwen Stacy Peter's girlfriend but Gwen Stacy wasn't even mentioned in the movie. Iceman and Pyro were adults in Xmen comic books but kids in the movie. Why did Xmen's movie Rouge look more like Kitty Pride? Make it appeal to fans.

@comicbookartistboi One of the biggest problems with the xmen and comic books movies in general is they lose the character of the original story. Rouge seemed more like Kitty Pride, Iceman was turned into a little kid, it didn't seem that much like the story at all for those who read the comic. Now Xmen first class is suppose to taken place in 1963 in the comic they had Cyclops, Angel, Beast, Iceman, and Marvel girl in it in 1963 however none of those characers will be in the movie.

While i didn't care for aspects of the x-men movie, my biggest problem overall, was that not a SINGLE character, actually LOOKED like, or wore the costume of, their original character. It seems that every single characer from comics needs to don black leather to even remotely be successful. this INCLUDES the wonder woman tv show of the 70's. It was a watered down version of Diana, AT BEST. the only thing done remotely right was the costume

The actress has acting experience on numerous tv shows, so unless they can find another who can act as well can keep her is good looking enough, don't know why people critical of her looks. Yeah there are some who are better looking but can they act? She isn't perfect but is still beautiful.

Okay the costume has problems, the current one in comic is better, blue better than red and yellow which look like plastic. The video Wonder Woman has died has a better looking costume could check it out, an Amazon not an American does need to look like an American flag, want to syndicate over seas don't they? Xena and Gabrielle also had better looking costumes. However even with this costume I would still watch it unless the plots and acting sucked.

The costume does look cheap and 'thrown on'. We're talking about film here, which means they can easily 'stop and adjust' at every point, creating the illusion that people can amazingly fit in incredible costumes (eg. Tomb Raider), where there's no sagging of tops or bottoms. The woman isn't the best looking out there either. Surely they could have found someone more attractive, this isn't a student short film.

Heres a problem they have different fans the comic book fans are now use to her wearing long pants and I think her recent costume in the comics was an improvement over this however they also want her to appeal to fans of the tv show and cartoons where she wore her 1950's to 1980's costume. Lynda Carter wore a dress in one episode as she wore in 1941 comics, and when she went into water a scuba type outfit without the air tank and mask. So she wore various outfits even then.

Yeah it can be a problem how to make it make sense without turning off fans of comic like ironman was originally written as in Vietnam War, but no such armour or technology like that existed back then. Original Human Torch was an android during world war 2, like they really had that technology back then. Wonder Woman was also written as in World War 2 and they combined earth 2 and 1 comic book wonder woman's for tv show. Changes had to be made and yeah sometime it offends the original fans.

Wonder Woman is suppose to be an Amazon not an American so why is she dressed like an America flag with white stars surrounded by blue, I think more recent comics gave her black pants and stars that didn't resemble those on an American flag. They want to market this to a worldwide audience also don't they Bonanza, Little House, etc. were viewed around the world in various countries and languages so why try to only get it to appeal to an American audience?

The problem here is that this costume looks like a Halloween custome, it looks like a cheap Halloween costume!!! Yes, its true to the comic. I do think Wonder Woman in a bathing suit is ridiculous especially for a amazon princess....But this new costume just looks tacky and fake. The costume really should be represented as a armor reflecting her greek amazonian influence. Plus, Adrianne just isnt gorgeous enought to play this character. Her face is so clumys and dull

The attire should be more practical and battle friendly. She's a skilled, savage, Immortal Amazonian warrior not a stripper to thrust a 20 spot down her cleavage. Here's the deal: We all remember growing up with LC as Wonder Woman. So, it is safe to say that no matter what they put on Miss Palicki? She has some mighty big cups to fill not to mention shoes!! Lynda is an Icon. She will always be Wonder Woman. If they are going to get the new show off the ground? It's going to have to be close to the original WW costume. I like it, and I also think they were smart going with the new leggings. Linda Carter's costume was not that much different, with the exception of the color of her leggings. I think as an artist you have the right to interpret characters the way you want. In the end the people will decide the fate of the show.

I am a huge fan of ww, esp Lynda C, but Adrienne looks beautiful- not a huge fan of the tierra, love Lyndas better. the pants are cool, remember Lyndas ww diving suit? Kind of similar. Also, you need to keep in mind, that Wonder Woman's costume was not supposed to be 'patriotic". She donned the colors of Diana Trevor. The woman who crash landed on Themiscyra, and died helping the Amazons. (She was also named after her) The costume simply took the red, white, gold, and blue, and turned them into a costume. Out of respect for Diana Trevor.

The costumes are a part of it and when you take them away, it's just dumb. I don't like too many changes to the design of characters when they make movies and shows. That's why I can't stand the G.I. Joe or Transformers movies and I've had it with the X-Men movies.

@comicbookartistboi If producer or director is going to do a movie based on a book or comic book he or she or someone who works for them should have actually read the book. This outfit not that bad but what they did to Spiderman movie ugh, Green Goblin in comic killed Gwen Stacy Peter's girlfriend but Gwen Stacy wasn't even mentioned in the movie. Iceman and Pyro were adults in Xmen comic books but kids in the movie. Why did Xmen's movie Rouge look more like Kitty Pride? Make it appeal to fans.

@comicbookartistboi One of the biggest problems with the xmen and comic books movies in general is they lose the character of the original story. Rouge seemed more like Kitty Pride, Iceman was turned into a little kid, it didn't seem that much like the story at all for those who read the comic. Now Xmen first class is suppose to taken place in 1963 in the comic they had Cyclops, Angel, Beast, Iceman, and Marvel girl in it in 1963 however none of those characers will be in the movie.

While i didn't care for aspects of the x-men movie, my biggest problem overall, was that not a SINGLE character, actually LOOKED like, or wore the costume of, their original character. It seems that every single characer from comics needs to don black leather to even remotely be successful. this INCLUDES the wonder woman tv show of the 70's. It was a watered down version of Diana, AT BEST. the only thing done remotely right was the costume
