But Tarja is....fantastic..legend forever. If somebody will try replace for example Sharon in WW i will stop listen them. It's strange but now Nightwish, new albums like The Letter Black. Too eazy, kinda of borring.Just good music for 1 listening.

I don't really like Anette cause her voice sounds like a young girls voice... Not like Miley like others say... and i said "Her voice doesn't sounds like the one in Nemo" Nemo = song of nightwish... Tarja is more type of nightwish cause her voice is really touchable :) Lets face it, Anette can't sing "Sleeping sun" as good as Tarja.

This song really DOES blow the roof off your house at times. It's so intense and surprising in so many ways. Dark and hopeful at the same time. I am slightly reserved about Anette's singing in this, though. But not her voice. It sounds better as ever.

First when I listened to this a week ago I was like BLAH.. Now as I listen to this again this kind of starts to sound nice. Same thing happened with Amaranth a few years ago. I've never liked NW's first singles that much, imo the real treasures are those songs like The Poet and the Pendulum in which Tuomas shows the talent god has given him. I'm still sure that I will love Imaginaerum.. Perhaps not as much as DPP since it has a special meaning for me but it will still be fucking awesome! :-)

@KOICrowz I wouldn't say it's their "signature style and sound". This song is in the spirit of Dark Passion Play, rather than being a classic Nightwish. The way they use the guitar with the orchestra is particularly similar to the last album. Compare it with the end of Master Passion Greed, for example. I must say though, the syncronisation of Anette's voice with this song is better than it was with any song off DPP, except maybe Sahara.

@Paanic405 The guitar, drumming, keyboards, and orchestral pieces are always recognizable to me in a Nightwish song; this one included. To me that signals a signature style and sound.

I would agree this song is closer to Dark Passion Play, but that's because classic Nightwish had a more restrictive operatic vibe. There's more they can do now musically, and they show that while still keeping their style.
