Nice job Representative Shepherd. Many of the teachers do deserve more pay, they work their rears off. Too bad the union holds them all to the lowest comon denominator. Hey teachers stop paying union dues and you get an instant raise. One would think people in education would understand a free market concept.
@fatison101 One would think that you had brains enough to understand American history. Good thing you've made it clear that you're really nothing more than a Republican with no ability to think for himself. You whiny bitch.
@Binkyboy34 So sounds like we have some common ground, we both have issues with the Republican party. For me they claim to be conservative, but then aren't. As far as my history knowlege, enlighten me please. What is it I am missing?
@fatison101 Unions have assisted in the building of this country and many of the rights and privileges that all workers are owed to union activities. Ignoring their historical contributions and their current operations while espousing a "free market" mindset is narrow minded.

Thank the Unions if you have vacation time, work a 40 hour work week, get overtime, paid sick leave.....I can go on.
How do people that have never educated students get to have all the say in how our education system works?!?
Teachers are owed a huge gratitude of debt. God bless'em.

ridiculous! there is no talking to these people - they already have made up their minds and do NOT represent their constituents!

There is only one thing WORSE than government being in charge of education... government run education with unions as educators.
