cha5-There is a very nice old wooden roller coaster at Santa Cruz (California) Beach and Boardwalk right on the ocean at Santa Cruz, CA. There is also a really great old German carousel (merry-go-round) complete with an old German calliope.

Not as good as the Cyclone <We all miss the old Cyclone), though. Sorry.

Yep I live in SC. The Giant Dipper is the roller coaster you are talking about. It really is one of the best I've ever been on.

I used to close my eyes on roller coasters so they'd be more extreme: it's a completely different ride when you have no idea what's coming. This worked until I memorized the roller coasters completely...

Yeah I get up to New York every year,

I always try to get by good old Coney Island,

A few years back I rode the Cyclone with a friend who used to live in N.Y.

I've got vertigo and had to keep my eyes shut and nearly puked up my Nathans hot dog after that crazy ride but I loved it,

There's no place like Coney Island, God bless it.
