I was considering getting this ball but it hooks way too late for my ball speed. If you want more carry, you should try to throw the ball a little slower to give it a chance to roll and carry through the pin deck.

The carry issue comes into play with longer balls, because a ball that hooks too early, will roll too early, therefore losing some of its energy, and not carrying through the pins. A ball that goes as long and hooks late like the Burn, will not have as much carry because the ball doesn't have enough of a chance to roll, thereby not utilizing its energy.

Now I know why John likes this ball so much, it hooks a LOT, and SMASHES the pins for him with minimal effort. Didn't do much for the other guys though. This is definitely a ball for all the strokers out there.

im thinking having two sets of heads on the lane is what the problem is.. You have a backend that has oil soaked into it, making it almost like permanent carry down.. but just a theory

yea either too much oil for the ball or carrydown, ball's long and strong so if you hit carrydown its gonna labor badly, and yes the pinsetter's are REALLY fast

Why is the pin setter and pin sweep so quick to come down. If you don't push ten back on impact, there's almost no chance to strike (i.e. with messengers).

idk if its the camera angle but this 1 looks like it slides too far before it begins to hook. i like a really aggressive ball.
