@vanconker1234 im from brazil 2.and no its light wouldnt be invisible.the sun itself would,but not the light.and it is nowhere near the size of the solar system.plutos orbit is already about 10 billion miles in diameter.its an oval though.and it is 10 times the star's diameter.the farthest outer layer in our solar system is called the oort cloud.which is so big that it dwarfes plutos orbit and the kuiper belt by less than a pixel in diameter.

No, it wouldn't. Well not the WHOLE solar system anyway. VY Canis Majoris is about 3 billion km in diameter or 1.5 billion km in radius. Neptune's orbit is about 4.5 billion in radius. But still most of the planets would be inside it.

Actually not all the orbits would fit inside it. Neptune is about 4.5 billion km from the Sun, you can check this on a few different sources, like the NASA website. The radius of the Sun is 695,500 km so the orbit is about 6470x the Sun's radius. Most of the sources I've seen say that VY is about 2000 times the Sun's radius.

I don't understand! In this scale the sun is quite visible... In other scales I have seen on the internet (animations), the star is completely invisible to the naked eye when put next to this hypergiant! I even read comments that if the Solar System was a golf ball, Canis Majoris would be the Mount Everest!!!!
