Cats don't always land on their feet, it's a myth. They have tiny frail bones. My kittens leg broke in several places and would have had to be amputated. He fell just 3 feet. Trying to have precaution is not a bad thing.

Ah, that's why I don't like having curtains. My cat is a 6 year old Calico, and she KNOWS she's doing bad if I catch her clawing the couches, bedskirt, mattress, shower curtain...because after I catch her she'll lay down and start rolling around as if to say "Don't be mad I'm cute remember?" HAHAHAHA!! Eh, she used to do it more when she was a kitten, but now as a mature cat she'll do it like once a week if even that :)
